Who’s up for a bit of fun? I’ve got a Dr. Seuss-style rhyme just for us. It’s all about the power of teamwork and knowing your role. So, without further ado, let the rhyming roll! In the land of Welbilt, where the deals are a-spinning, There’s a tale to be told, from the start to the winning. In this land so grand, every player’s a star, But sometimes they forget just how brilliant they are. “Now listen,” says Leonard, with a twinkle in his eye, “Our team is a rocket that’s meant to fly high! But to reach for the stars, to soar and to swoop, We must know our roles in this wonderful troop. It’s not about ‘I’, nor just about ‘you’, It’s about ‘us’ together, in everything we do. For a team without purpose is like a ship without sail, A bird without wings, a snake without tail. So let’s all remember, in our quest to excel, It’s the clarity of purpose that rings the success bell. When each knows their part in this grand Welbilt play, We’ll dance to the tune of success every day! From the top of the morn, to the fall of the night, Let’s keep our goals clear, our purpose in sight. For together as one, there’s no height we can’t scale, With our map made of purpose, we shall never fail!” So cheers to the team, to the journey, the fun, In the land of Welbilt, where great things are done. With hearts full of purpose, and minds crystal clear, We’re set for success, year after year! https://lnkd.in/gr_TrxHv #DrSuess #Poem #Teamwork #Purpose #Welbilt

A team that understands the power of NOW. It’s always “month end”. We don’t wait for deadlines, we create them. We don’t just react, we anticipate. Simply put, because that’s what winners do. Watch the video to see how we’re building a team that embraces serving our clients exceptionally well, creates urgency, crushes goals and leaves the competition in the dust.

Lessons from observing a Hertz Shuttle bus driver. The attitude you bring to your work and how you do your work are so important. Pulling back and looking at the very big picture can provide perspective. How often do we get dragged down into the routine daily chores at work and in business and lose the sense of enjoyment from contributing in whatever small way to make the world a better place. This is of particular importance in good corporate governance and board leadership where bringing a big picture perspective can shape culture and the "tone at the top" and really add value. "...This means that whatever a man’s vocation in life happens to be, what he does is scarcely more important than how he does it. This is so especially after considering a timeless self-inquiry attributed to St. Bernard of Clairvaux: Quid hoc ad aeternitatem, or what does it matter in light of eternity? Asking this frequently of oneself reminds that all earthly tasks, from bus driving to lawyering, are comparatively small. All that matters in the end is the love with which we do them...."

"Train people well enough so they can leave, treat them well enough so they don't want to." - Richard Branson I am constantly amazed by the incredible skills my team possesses. Take Scott, for example, who works in my automotive business, AZ Autos . Today, he's rebuilding an engine on a 2019 VW Golf. Despite my limited mechanical knowledge (I can barely change a tire or a lightbulb), Scott's ability and patience to complete such a complex task never cease to impress me. 🛠️🚗 Scott has been with me for over a decade, and he could easily find employment at any garage or dealership, likely for a higher salary. So, what keeps him here? In today's competitive job market for mechanics, I've given this question a lot of thought. I believe it's because I have invested in Scott, making him feel connected to the business and its success. Investing in team members can take many forms: support, time, training, and responsibility, to name a few. When you invest in your staff, you cultivate loyalty and skill. While some individuals you've invested in may eventually move on, I believe it's preferable to having a workforce that feels disconnected and unappreciated. At our businesses, we prioritize investing in our team, fostering a culture of growth, and valuing the incredible talents each member brings to the table. It's this commitment that sets us apart and drives our success. 🚀✨ #Leadership #TeamDevelopment #EmployeeRetention #AutomotiveIndustry #InvestInPeople #WorkplaceCulture #EmployeeEngagement #SuccessThroughPeople

Drive… to thrive! Truck driver at oncoming corner looked left. Instantly joined my lane while I slowed. Nothing happened & we both... Lived happily thereafter! Split second decisions keep life flowing! He had authority, he was clear on it. He observed, decided, acted fast. That’s what’s mostly needed. Black & white, not grey! In work & personal life… 70% of facts keep flow going. 70% of facts are what you have. 70% of facts are what you need. 70% of facts are what really matter. Major decisions may not take split seconds. Let’s make it split 48 hours, may be 72 or 96! Either find a way to know & be satisfied. Else decide with what you have in hand. Not deciding is itself a decision! It’s not only costly for you… It’s frustrating for those working with you! Going in circles… Will not make it square! It just keeps you looped in circles. Also drains positive energy of your team. What will you decide in your life? What really matters for you? Drive… to thrive! But drive forward, not in circles! #management #business #strategy #finance #motivation #productivity #innovation #marketing #humanresources #careers #education #personaldevelopment #asifics P101-2402

How To Start Things with AI | Founder @ Dime Box | Author of 4 Books (One was a #1 New Release on Amazon).
I believe that whatever you naturally gravitated to when you were 7 or 8 years old should be the main focus of your professional life. Because when you follow these rooted passions, the results are remarkable. Take Scott McNealy, for example. He was the CEO of Sun Microsystems back in the 1980s. The most dangerous competitor to Steve Jobs' NeXT and their best role model. McNealy's father had once been the CEO of American Motors, a defunct automaker vaguely remembered for a few offbeat car models. But that's not important. What's important is that when McNealy was 7, he would sneak out of his room at night and pore through his father's briefcase. A few years later, he became known as a "factory rat," spending hours on plant floors and learning the complexities of auto manufacturing. Now, what makes auto manufacturing interesting to an 11-year-old? I have no idea. But it's an urge that McNealy followed for the rest of his life. People can relate to Steve Jobs because he was a dreamer. A rule breaker. McNealy couldn't have been more different. But he had a passion for selling machines, serving customers, and making money. It was the edge he needed to manage Sun with a maturity Jobs only pretended to have at NeXT and grow the company to $1 billion in sales within four years. #RootedCuriosity #FollowYourPassion #careeraspirations #ChildhoodDreams #ProfessionalJourney #InnateCuriosity #CareerAdvice #InspirationalCareer #LifeLesson

Since joining Tenney Group, the biggest surprise so far is how few logistics company owners have considered their future options. Whether the plan is to someday sell, make an acquisition to grow, or another strategic plan for the future, there seems to be a lack of planning and most are just trying to get through the day / week / month. To be successful long term, you need more than that. I'm not just here to sell your company. My job is to advise leaders through their strategic plan and help create long term value, regardless of what that plan looks like. Reach out and let's discuss goals for the future and what steps need to be taken to achieve them. I want to help you be successful and brighten the future for your business, your team, and your legacy.

Leadership : Henry Ford was an American industrialist who selected two individuals for a position at his company, both of whom were educated at the same university and in the same field. They were invited to a restaurant for dinner. After the meal, Ford told one person, "You have been hired for the position," while he told the other, "Sorry, you cannot join our team." The rejected young man gathered courage and asked, "Mr. Ford, may I ask you a question?" Ford said, "Sure." The young man said, "We didn't discuss engineering, cars, or university. We only talked about general things. Then why did you hire my friend and not me?" Ford replied, "For two reasons: First: Your friend tasted the piece of meat and then added salt, while you added salt without tasting it. I like people who test things before trying to change them. Second: Your friend treated the waiters politely, saying thank you and sorry to them, while you didn't seem to notice them at all. You were only polite to me! A great leader who wants to make an impact in their work must treat everyone with humanity. Small actions can lead to great results. Our lives are full of lessons." #ford #henrry #henryford #fordcompany #american #marketing #job #hire
