Some missions wait for no one. That's where Raybird steps up! The whole unmanned aerial system – ground control station, antenna, launcher, the aircraft itself – is ready and deploys in under 25 minutes without any additional tools. Getting eyes in the sky fast means you can gather intel and assess situations rapidly. This is especially valuable in a military domain where every minute saved has the potential to save lives.

Ukraine has officially established the world’s first Unmanned Systems Forces (USF), dedicated to advancing the capabilities of unmanned and robotic warfare across air, sea, and ground domains. I have talked about it in my recent blog. If you want to know what could happen more, refer to my blog. https://lnkd.in/gBUjDfue

Program Manager, former Surface Warfare Officer (nuclear), Volunteer tour guide USS Alabama Battleship Park, Board member Mobile, Alabama Chapter of the Navy League
I wonder how many of these Vanilla drones can fit in the 390,000 cubic-foot internal bay of the Independence-variant LCS or the even larger bay of the EPF. “On June 14, Vanilla returned to AAFB and executed a normal landing on runway 24R. Landing occurred at 11:21 local, concluding a 1-day, 3-hour, 2-minute flight with the Link 16 relay active for the entire duration. Whereas this is a relatively short flight for Vanilla, which has demonstrated >8-days of unrefueled endurance in a desert environment, this flight demonstrates advanced technology readiness for any military operational environment. Vanilla can be configured for Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (ISR), Communications Relay, Decoy, Air Launched Effects (ALE), Signals Intelligence (SIGINT), Electronic Warfare (EW), or any combination of those mission requirements.” https://lnkd.in/ex8_aYVc

Pre-sales Engineer for Silent Sentinel. GCH Rogue. CUxS and UxS Warfare Strategist. CUAS multi-level trainer.
The effective attack against a 5th Generation fighter by a UAV over the weekend is yet another demonstration of how the legacy air dominance concept is dead. #CUAS is not something that can be delegated to a single command, branch, or organization. Detection remains the cornerstone of effective CUAS execution, and Squarehead Technology can help most sensor deployment plans. As a passive system, our sensors can cue radars, cameras, confirm RF detections, and provide gap coverage for military, government, and commercial employment schemes.

This discussion in Breaking Defense with the great team of Aaron Mehta, Michael Marrow, Valerie Insinna and Stacie Pettyjohn covers a lot of important topics, including the ethics, use cases and the "known unknowns" of #CCA. I recommend watching this and all the videos in the series on the future of air warfare. Stacey raises a critical issue right at the end. What is true autonomy? We hear that different platforms are autonomous, but when it comes time to operate in a totally denied environment, who can do it? Center15 Capital is focused on this answer as we think whoever can do it whether for the drones in #CCA program or #Replicator will be a huge winner. https://lnkd.in/g27Ejmtp

Since the dawn of combat air, there has been a requirement for pilots and crews to be able to observe their environment and detect an adversary quicker than they can be detected. The pilot’s eyes as a detection method quickly gave way to more advanced electronic technologies, particularly radar. The rapid advances of combat aircraft seen over the last century is also the story of the advance of radar. Here we explore how Active Electronically Scanned Array #AESA radar is now the pinnacle of this technology: https://lnkd.in/e7PgdVaz #combatair #radartechnology #escan

If "manned flight over the battlefield" means fixed forward gun runs and salvos of missiles from a hover hold, yes. Those days should have ended after Iraq and Afghanistan, and they were getting stale even then. But if the question is whether a combination of manned and unmanned vertical lift is necessary to provide airborne C2, launch missiles and other effects, and move people and supplies, that isn't changing. Only the equipment and tactics are.
The shift is animated in large part by proliferating ground-based air defenses that make manned flight over the battlefield almost impossible.

On an eternal quest to curate meaningful intelligence for the uncrewed community - let’s make it real together!
#CUAS Balloons … another #Ukraine pragmatic solution! Then my brain goes sideways. What other types of payloads could we put into these aerostats that could expand this concept for the NAS? 🎈surveillance feed to FIMS accessible by USS networks serving a high-volume area. Contributes to USS information sharing (ie overlapping LAANC service suppliers can see the collective impact on any facility map grid) 🎈 that same feed delivers SA to the controlling terminal ATC facility onto a “drone situation display” overlaying facility map grids 🎈… wait… is there something we can put in this balloon to isolate and display noncooperative aircraft to FIMS?!?!?!?!?! 🎈 persistently serves DronePorts, large scale public events, critical infrastructure 🎈 and my favorite: a means for local Public Safety to have persistent surveillance over prisons that affords enough distance to target the operator location for routine law enforcement action without having to use CUAS mitigation capabilities currently only authorized for select federal agencies. Caveat: off-the-cuff ideation isn’t backed by any evidence of practical rationale 🙃 #atc #atm #sa #situationalawareness #droneports #aviationideation #uas #utm #publicsafety #drones #faa #dronesforgood #dfr #science #research #dronesasfirstresponders #cuas #lawenforcement #federalaviationregulation #airspace #aircraft #aviation #bvlos #dronetech #dronedata #aviationdata #sms #aviationsafety #aviationrisk #nationaldefense #dod #dhs #doj #blueuas #homelandsecurity #collaboration #partnerships #diversity #dei #womenhelpingwomen #leadership #strategy #meaningfulintelligence
