General Manager of our Electro-Optical and Infrared Systems business, Jerry Hathaway talks about collaboration in the #Space domain with our patent company #Leonardo. See more about what we do in space here: https://bit.ly/4d6qtVD#FIA2024
Leonardo DRS has over 35 years of experience in space. Did you know that when you watch the news and see the weather satellite images that many of these are made possible by DRS sensors!? We are working on novel payload solutions and just finished a mission with NASA that can improve our Space Domain Awareness. Space is the key to the defense of our country and sustainability of our planet. We are excited to be part of the Leonardo Space Alliance.
"Seeing is believing" – and at Titomic, we're not just talking innovation; we're actively showcasing it. These are more than just stories; they're real-life examples of how our technology is revolutionizing industries, particularly in aerospace.
In our collaboration with Fleet Space, we've elevated satellite protection using multi-metal radiation shielding, combining tantalum, titanium, and copper. This method significantly outperforms conventional hardened electronics, and importantly, is also more cost-effective, allowing more satellites to launch with ample protection.
Additionally, our work on the SpIRIT satellite, Australia's first scientific satellite in two decades, highlights our advanced heat management capabilities. By applying pure copper directly to the satellite body, SpIRIT is equipped with a thermal system that's usually only feasible for larger satellites.
Though, it's not just space. Titomic's technology is extremely versatile. It's bringing new capability to sectors like defence, automotive, marine, and beyond.
