As someone who worked at Leap Motion during its formative years, it’s bittersweet to see this chapter close. Leap Motion now know as Ultraleap - played a vital role in advancing XR to where it is today. Leap Motion, once a pioneer in hand tracking, was acquired by Ultrahaptics in 2019. Now, just five years later, Ultrahaptics, rebranded as Ultraleap, is reportedly selling off the valuable patents and IP from Leap Motion.
