My fellow Americans, please wake up. OUR government is making us complicit in Israel’s ethnic cleansing & genocide, because Israel couldn’t continue without the weapons, ammunition, funding, & U.N. veto protection that WE keep providing. According to our own U.S. military, Israel has killed OVER 25,000 WOMEN & CHILDREN in the past 5 months: https://lnkd.in/gaMEPKSn Can you imagine how big a pile of 25,000 dead women & children would be? If you do the math, they would fill between 1 & 2 Olympic swimming pools. And OUR taxes are helping pay for it & it’s getting bigger every day. Israel has also orphaned over 30,000 children, & has demolished the homes of around 1 million children, making them homeless during winter. And Israel is still blocking aid to these children, KILLING THEM WITH STARVATION, DEHYDRATION, & DISEASE, in addition to U.S. supplied bombs. Are you going to tell your children & grandchildren that you stood by & said nothing while OUR GOVERNMENT, WITH OUR TAX DOLLARS, HELPED MURDER TENS OF THOUSANDS OF CHILDREN IN THE MOST CRUEL & HORRIFYING WAYS? I’ve realized there’s such a thing as workplace karma. I used to be about getting my lick back. But as time passed, I’ve realized there’s no need for that. One thing I’ve stopped doing is listening and gawking at any colleague’s misfortune. This is also known as “workplace gossip.” Why? Because I’ve had the experience of being publicly disrespected….then that incident discussed as the “interesting topic of the day.” So now when someone brings up “oh, you know so and so in department X is struggling,” I literally just divert the conversation. I don’t want someone else’s misfortune to be my entertainment, even if I don’t like them. I’ve seen workplace karma play out. I’ve seen people play a part in getting others branded as “the problem” and ultimately terminated, only to find the same happen to them a few years away from their retirement. I’ve experienced people engaging in machinations worthy of TV soap opera storylines to test me. I notice it. Keep it moving. Then a few months later, they’re embroiled in some workplace turmoil that’s ten times worse than what they tried with me. I’ve seen this play out numerous times, with myself and others. And what I would tell any younger professional entering the workplace is…if someone is focused too much on other people (all they do is talk about colleagues more than the actual work), they’re not worth access to you. There are some adversaries that you will need to fight, but a lot of them are just there to be distractions. So keep it moving.

As I begin this new year and wish for a peaceful world, my thoughts turn to the essential pursuits that define our humanity. Among the numerous possibilities, three stand out prominently: tolerance, the ceaseless pursuit of truth and knowledge, and the embrace of humanism. In the words of Voltaire from his "Treatise on Tolerance" (1763): "Let all men consider themselves as brothers; let them form one great society of mutual love, mutual aid, and mutual esteem; let them entertain the same affection for those of a different communion which they bear to their fellow-citizens; let them extend the same offices of kindness to those who profess different opinions and different laws; let the inhuman zeal of a few be the disgrace of the world." “Peace means tranquillity. Peace means being free from persecution due to one's nationality, immigration status, race, ethnicity, political affiliation, religious beliefs (or lack thereof), or sexual preference. Peace as a human right It is an essential element to the realisation of all human rights. Peace is a product of human rights: the more a society promotes, protects, and fulfills the human rights of its people, the greater its chances for curbing violence and resolving conflicts peacefully. Peacefulness can be used to describe the feeling of being at ease and having nothing troubling your mind, feeling relaxed. Not an emotion but the absence of worry and stress. There are two forms of peace. There is inner peace and there is peace in general which means Unity. Is peace greater than love? If there is love, then peace automatically follows it. So speaking about what is more important, I feel it depends on the situation and so I feel that to prevent any controversy for the time being  #peace #humanright #innerpeace #unity
