Back after a hiatus! I've been away for some time due to the fact that I had to obey the clarion call to serve my father's land. After going to the Nysc orientation camp, I had so many excuses for why I've not been productive. That was until mamuro oyiboluawhore recommended a book that has been a game-changer for many: Atomic Habits by James Clear. While the book offers practical strategies for building good habits and breaking bad ones, I've found it challenging to put them into practice. Building consistent routines and sticking to them has been tough, especially when overwhelmed with busy schedules. However, I'm determined to overcome these obstacles and make progress, no matter how small. If you've faced similar struggles or have success stories with implementing habits, I'd love to hear your experiences and tips! Let's support each other in building positive habits and creating a better version of ourselves. #PersonalGrowth #SelfImprovement

Day 18 of 30 Lives: The Power of Journaling Taking a moment to journal can be essential for developing new strategies, coping mechanisms, and giving ourselves allowances that we may not always find in our minds or conversations. Journaling creates space for reflection and growth. Here’s the process I go through when journaling: 1. **Start with Intention**: I set a clear intention for what I want to explore, whether it’s a challenge, emotion, or thought. 2. **Write Freely**: I give myself the freedom to write without judgment, letting my thoughts flow naturally. 3. **Identify Patterns**: Once I’ve written, I review to see if any patterns, emotions, or recurring themes emerge. 4. **Reflection**: I ask myself, “What can I learn from this?” and “How can I approach this differently moving forward?” 5. **Set an Action Step**: Finally, I create a simple action step to carry into my day—something that helps me move forward with clarity and purpose. Journaling offers a powerful way to process thoughts and feelings, creating space for new insights and strategies. If you’re looking to incorporate this into your life, give it a try! #JournalingForGrowth #MindfulReflection #CopingStrategies #PersonalDevelopment #ConsciousLiving #MentalWellness #30LivesChallenge #JournalingProcess #SelfAwarenessJourney #EmotionalClarity

📏 𝗜'𝗺 𝘀𝗵𝗼𝗿𝘁 𝟱 𝗳𝗼𝗼𝘁 𝟭.𝟱 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗵𝗲𝘀 𝗼𝗻 𝗮 𝗴𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗱𝗮𝘆. 𝗡𝗼𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝗵𝗼𝘄 𝗜 𝗴𝗮𝘃𝗲 𝗺𝘆𝘀𝗲𝗹𝗳 𝘁𝗵𝗲 𝗲𝘅𝘁𝗿𝗮 𝗵𝗮𝗹𝗳 𝗮𝗻 𝗶𝗻𝗰𝗵, 𝗜 𝗰𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱𝗻'𝘁 𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗻 𝗹𝗲𝘁 𝘁𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗴𝗼. When I was younger, my parents believed that if I hung from a bar I would 'stretch' myself out and somehow get taller. This is the part where I tell you that it didn't work surprise surprise but I do sometimes wonder if my arms are slightly too long for my body. In any case, I lived for a long time hating the fact that I was short. I remember one day in high school a friend of mine told me "If you weren't short, you wouldn't be Shahana". Perhaps the wording could have been more eloquent but the meaning stayed with me - being short is part of who I am. We all have examples of this - things that we live with about ourselves even though if we could choose, we would want it a different way. 🛣️ Perhaps self-acceptance comes not just from blindly accepting the status quo but from being kind to yourself and wanting to improve from a place of self-acceptance rather than a place of self-deprecation. ❤️ ➖➖➖ Ten years ago, I became a family doctor to help people feel better. What they did not teach me was that your emotional health is directly connected to your mental and physical health. I saw the same kinds of patients - stressed, anxious, and lonely - many of whom wanted a pill to feel better. Something more needed to be done. I developed the “Optimal Health Pyramid”, and my TEDx has over 100,000 views and counting. After working with thousands of patients, I’ve uncovered 5 common themes that greatly contribute to emotional distress. ***** 👉 Type “5” in the COMMENTS below, and I’ll send over my e-book that outlines the five biggest mistakes to avoid if you want to live your Optimum life. P.S. Type “BOOK” if you want an early copy of my book "Feel Better" launching in September 2024 #personaldevelopment #motivation #leadership #storytelling #career #authenticity

Post Title: The Power in Sitting With Our Feelings As women, we often feel the pressure to be everything—strong, composed, resilient. But what happens when life cracks our armor? When the weight of it all asks us to be vulnerable? Here’s what I’m learning: vulnerability isn’t a weakness; it’s a doorway. It’s where healing begins, where growth takes root. Sitting in your feelings can be uncomfortable. It requires courage to acknowledge the hurt, the fear, the uncertainty. But it’s in that stillness, in that honesty with ourselves, that we find clarity. Here’s how I navigate it: ✨ Pause and feel – I let the emotions come. I give myself permission to cry, journal, or simply be still. ✨ Reflect, not dwell – I ask myself, What is this feeling trying to teach me? ✨ Choose forward motion – Once I’ve acknowledged my emotions, I create space to move forward—whether that’s through a prayer, a walk, or a small actionable step. Vulnerability doesn’t have to be loud or public. It’s a quiet strength we cultivate within ourselves. Sitting in your feelings isn’t easy, but it’s powerful. It reminds us that we are human, evolving, and so beautifully capable of rising again. What’s something you’ve learned from your moments of vulnerability? Let’s talk about it. #VulnerabilityIsStrength #NavigatingFeelings #GrowthJourney

Close your eyes and imagine yourself as you are now, stepping into your childhood bedroom. Take a moment to really look around—what do you see? Now, sit on the bed where your younger self once dreamed. Seated next to your childhood self, what do you want to say? You have 15 minutes—this is your chance to speak with the person you once were. What will you tell them? ___________________________________________________________________ Starting this Wednesday, I’m launching a new series Designed to help you pause, reflect, and get clarity on the bigger picture of your life’s journey. These will be deep, thought-provoking questions that offer you a chance to zoom out. Why journaling? It’s one of the most powerful tools for self-awareness and personal growth. When you write without judgment, and allows you to tap into you subconscious. A flow of consciousness that helps you unlock your inner thoughts. Remember, these reflections are for YOU. Please don’t share your responses in the comments. Instead, set aside 15 minutes. Copy the question into a note on your phone, and simply let your mind wander. Write whatever comes to you, judgment-free. If you think others in your network could benefit from this weekly exercise, be sure to like, share and repost. Give yourself this time—you’ve earned it.

𝐔𝐧𝐥𝐨𝐜𝐤𝐢𝐧𝐠 𝐋𝐢𝐟𝐞’𝐬 𝐀𝐧𝐬𝐰𝐞𝐫𝐬: 𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐏𝐨𝐰𝐞𝐫 𝐨𝐟 𝐃𝐚𝐢𝐥𝐲 𝐑𝐞𝐚𝐝𝐢𝐧𝐠 As humans, we often grapple with numerous questions and challenges, seeking validation and solutions from others. We crave recognition, feeling happier when our actions are affirmed by those around us. However, relying solely on external opinions can lead to biased perspectives, as they are filtered through others’ beliefs and experiences. I encourage my clients to cry. My energy healing sessions this morning became crying sessions – which is normal when we are overwhelmed with so many emotions. 👉 Why do I encourage them to cry? Because I want them to release all those trapped emotions inside them. 👉 In the end, those emotions were all related to the feeling of lack and not having self-worth. 10 Lessons learned from my sessions this morning that I want to share. ✅ Be gentle with yourself. ✅ Be the first person to believe in you. ✅ Believe that you’re worthy of whatever that is you desire ✅ Stop comparing yourself to others. ✅ Stop overthinking the future – that’s the main root cause of anxiety. ✅ Stop living in the past – that’s the main root cause of depression. ✅ Treat every failure as a learning process ✅ Be open and stop putting too many expectations on yourself and others ✅ Be grateful. Gratitude is the fastest way to raise your frequency. ✅ Enjoy every step of the process – a movie without climax and challenges is boring.

I was reading *The Power of Focus* by Jack Canfield, Mark Victor Hansen, and Les Hewitt when I came across a line that says, "The results of your bad habits usually don't show up until much later in life," and it hit me like, WOW. My mother had been saying this since childhood, and I never understood the context. Now, here I am reading a book that gave me a reality check. There are a lot of habits that affect us negatively, but we only become aware of them after a long time. We don't put filters in place before adopting a new habit, no matter what it is. We need to think about the outcomes and how this habit will affect our personal and professional lives in the long run. There is a very simple technique I have been using since reading the book and getting this reality check. If you think you have adopted a new habit, just write down the good and bad effects of that habit over time. Consider whether it will be beneficial for you mentally, physically, financially, and socially, or if it will ruin your peace of mind. Just make sure to filter it out. If you start to filtrate habits from a younger age, you will avoid seeing the negative effects later in life. Cheers!🍻🍻 #poweroffocus #bookreading #thoughtofday #knowledge #linkedin #habbits
