Imagine coming to work and not being sure what you are supposed to do, or what the expectations for success are, or what standards you are being measured by. To start helping your employees today, sit down with them and ask them this question. Make sure you clearly explain not only what, but the how, and the why. I have noticed that during the interview, the boss talks about expectations. But there are times when the actual expectations on the front line and what the boss expects are two different things.
