Selecting, configuring, assembling installing, and maintaining instrumentation is time-consuming, but critical to your success. We hear from customers too often that they bought the right instruments but ran into costly problems after: leaky remote seals on their transmitters, struggling to properly assemble an actuator or positioner to their valves, configuring the wrong ranges, or mis-tagging their assemblies. Maybe you've faced delays in getting the right components because your typical supply chain couldn’t deliver on time. Join us on October 31 with Tom LaPlant of AC Controls to learn how partnering with a local provider for engineered solutions can streamline your process and help avoid common headaches. 💡 𝗧𝗲𝗰𝗵𝗻𝗶𝗰𝗮𝗹 𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗰𝗹𝗲: Unlocking the Potential of Control Valve Positioners for Enhanced Process Control This technical column delves into the pivotal role of control valve positioners, examining their gain and speed adjustment capabilities. These features are instrumental in enhancing process dynamics, empowering instrumentation engineers to optimize control loops for stability and efficiency. 𝗞𝗲𝘆 𝗛𝗶𝗴𝗵𝗹𝗶𝗴𝗵𝘁𝘀: → Positioners amplify controller signals, overcoming high stem forces and enabling precise actuator control. → Gain adjustment allows for tailored actuator response, comparable to proportional band settings in process controllers. → Speed settings in actuators influence the time constant of the control element, impacting process stability. → General guideline: set high speed with low gain for fast systems (e.g., pressure control) and high gain with low speed for slower systems (e.g., temperature control). → For stable processes, ensure the final control element's time constant is either three times higher or one-third of the system's time constant. 🔗 Dive into the technical details here:

Which of the following procedures is most crucial during the commissioning of a differential pressure transmitter to ensure accurate and stable operation? A) Zeroing the transmitter with the process lines isolated and filled with the process fluid B) Ensuring that the transmitter is installed at the highest point of the process line C) Using a damping setting to filter out any high-frequency process noise D) Calibrating the transmitter with a 4-20mA signal directly connected to the control system Refer the link for the answer https://lnkd.in/gBQAs5kf

There is only one thing worse than not having a dewpoint measurement. That is having a dewpoint that is telling you everything is fine when it isn’t. Hydrocarbon Dewpoint, its reporting and how the industry relies on data that frequently has significant errors is becoming a great concern. Liquid carryover of condensate is frequently observed with LineVu systems when the reported HCDP indicates dry gas.
Our latest article, "Hydrocarbon Dewpoint: The Gap Between Theory and Reality," authored by our Managing Director, Paul Stockwell, has been featured in the November 2024 edition of Instrumentation Monthly, on pages 48-49. This piece delves into critical challenges in gas quality assurance, exposing the limitations of traditional HC DP methods and showcasing how Process Vision’s LineVu system is revolutionizing the industry with real-time visibility into pipeline conditions. Curious to learn how liquid carryover could be impacting your operations and how LineVu offers a transformative solution? Don’t miss this insightful read.
