Hello All, How do I write this without tooting my own horn? I’ll just write it anyway. All my life, I’ve had people tell me that I am composed and well mannered, I behave maturely and professionally, I display decorum, firmness and comportment (I laugh so hard on the inside, because I know I am a complete goofball 😅). I know some of you are already rolling your eyes 😂 and I would too, but it’s the truth. People say this matter-of-factly and sometimes they don’t even mean for it to be a compliment. So, when people seriously ask me how I am this way, I respond truthfully… I’ve had the privilege of leaning on and learning from my models/mentors. I’ve had the wisdom of an experienced person because every step of the way, I have had the guidance of an experienced person. Some of my friends have argued that it’s easy for me to be this way, because I have access to these models/mentors I speak of. And when I think of it, they’re right, the sheer proximity and access I have to my models/mentors have been so beneficial for my growth. So, imagine how I felt when I found out about Mentor Intro Africa and the virtual platform they have built to aid proximity and access to mentors and industry experts. Then I go on their website and imagine my joy when I see the caliber of mentors already assembled, to also discover some of my own models/mentors on there as well. According to Pastor Bolaji Idowu (Harvesters), there are three (3) benefits to a close mentorship relationship: 1. They inspire confidence in you. 2. They help you avoid mistakes they made. 3. They add speed to you because they can tell you how fast to get “there”. I was amazed to also learn that this platform is valuable to everyone, not only young-mid level professionals and entrepreneurs… even Senior Management and Retirees or those planning, “what’s next after corporate success”. You could connect with Mentors here who could help you work through what that next phase could look like. Sometimes, all we need is access and information. So, thank you so much Mentor Intro Africa for doing this! #mentorship #mentorshipprogram #growthmindset #development #africa #technology https://lnkd.in/gG7U5jE5

Ever feel like you're climbing a mountain alone in business? 🏔️ Starting and growing a business can often feel like a solitary pursuit. However, no one becomes successful on their own - we all need guidance, support, and collaboration to reach the summit. Consider seeking advice from those who've been there before. Consider peer-to-peer mentorship or engage with a professional coach. Furthermore, leverage your network for partnerships or collaborative opportunities. Remember, every great leader was once an apprentice. So tell me folks, how has mentorship or collaboration helped you overcome challenges in your entrepreneurial journey?

Changing the way businesses think about sustainability through community & practical brand building | Mother of 2 | Business Mentor | Former Fashion Stylist
I recently polled you to find out why you make business connections... and as always the feedback was really interesting. 10% wanted to find a mentor 20% wanted to share your own knowledge with others 70% wanted to learn from other peoples experiences (0% wanted an accountability buddy) I think this is why panel discussions and workshops are always exciting events for founders, we just have an exhaustible need to learn from others. I'm so interested in looking deeply into facilitating this for SME founders in a way that feels really honest and not icky, so watch this space. #learning #founderjourney

Motivator of Changë. Nonconformist. Disяuptor. I am a mentor, a challenger, an active listener, an accomplice, and a human companion on your transformation journey.
* Upskilling Palestinian talent * Empowering women in tech ( At least 50% of graduates are females) * Designed to unlock remote job opportunities for high-potential tech talents in Palestine. Those were the key elements that attracted me to select TAP for my pro-bono mentoring during Q4 of this year.** Its aim is to disrupt the talent landscape and catalyze opportunities for the bright minds of Palestine. I'm very excited to start, I'm looking forward to meeting the people with whom I'd learn during our mentoring sessions. This is going to be an important learning experience for me as well. #mentoring #walkingthetalk #betterfuture #upskilling #humandevelopment ** I usually do some pro-bono mentoring journeys each quarter and never went public about it. If you know of other inspiring initiatives, please let me know.
