#membernews Having announced its intention to split Topgolf and Callaway Golf into separate businesses, Topgolf Callaway Brands is forging ahead with an eye on furthering its reach to the Middle East. And what better country to focus on than Saudi Arabia given its support of golf through the LIV tour, Aramco Team Series and other avenues. As part of the new agreement Topgolf plans to build three venues by 2028 with the possibility of adding another two down the line. The venues, which combine target practice, lighthearted games, food and beverage, will all be owned and operated by Golf Saudi Entertainment who sponsor multiple professional golfers and tournaments. Saudi Arabia has entered a new partnership with US-based Topgolf Callaway Brands Corp. to build golf facilities across the kingdom, further boosting its sports infrastructure. Golf Saudi, the development arm of the nation's golf federation, plans to establish three Topgolf venues by 2028, with the option for two more in the future. As part of the deal, Golf Saudi will also become a distributor for Topgolf brands in the region. This move marks another significant step in Saudi Arabia’s efforts to grow the sport of golf and increase its popularity locally. It’s an F1 street circuit weekend in Singapore, and Jeddah also hosts its own incredible street circuit race — but do you know what it takes to close a portion of a city and create such a track? The creation of the Jeddah F1 Street Circuit was an engineering marvel that required a massive amount of effort, coordination, and precision. Transforming the stunning Red Sea coastline into one of the fastest and most thrilling circuits in Formula 1 involved engineers, designers, and construction teams working tirelessly to bring this vision to life. At 6.175 km long with 27 corners, this track isn’t just fast – it’s designed to push the limits with average speeds over 250 km/h. But building it wasn’t just about the speed. Closing parts of the city, re-routing traffic, and constructing everything from grandstands to state-of-the-art paddocks was no easy task. Quick update on our LIV Golf direct-to-consumer viewership for our third league event, LIV Golf Jeddah, as our phenomenal audience growth continues in double and triple digits: +87% viewership increase vs. our 2023 Jeddah event +101% viewership increase vs. our third event of 2023 (Orlando) We also pinned an increase on our final round Sunday Jeddah US CW broadcast coverage of +38% year over year vs Jeddah 2023. That's three consecutive events showing double-digit or triple-digit growth on linear in the US, with international media partner viewership numbers coming soon. Finally, our Friday Jeddah full event coverage on our new partner Caffeine (thank you Tori Socha) in the US has seen over 2M views live and on-demand, bringing golf coverage to a younger demographic (75% of caffeine's 60 million active users are under the age of 35) who consume primarily on mobile (over 90% of their users watch on mobile devices). Caffeine has delivered over 4M views for the overall Jeddah event content inclusive of our Club 54 Pre- and Post-Round Shows, extended highlights, Fairway to Heaven Podcast, LIV Lessons, Heng Time, What The Feherty, and our other short-form pieces. All told, across our D2C platforms and Caffeine, we are north of 6M total event-related LIV content views for our Jeddah event. Digital views to uniques aren't always translated in a straight line, but this basically means that over 4 million viewers checked out LIV Golf League coverage around our Jeddah event. All following our premise of superserving consumers where they prefer to consume their content -- nearly reaching a point where broadcast network partners become the bonus on top. Additionally, avoiding the use of anchors reduces labor efforts and protects the seabed from disturbances. Golfers Like the Saudi-backed LIV Golf Paychecks: PGA Tour’s Saudi Deal Drags On With Players Arguing Over Pay : Saudi Arabia’s Public Investment Fund started LIV as a rival to the PGA : particular sticking point is Jon Rahm’s reported $300 million LIV contract : PGA Tour players want Rahm — and others — to hand back money they’ve made from LIV : Rahm and other LIV Golf players have refused to agree any terms that would penalize them for taking a risk and leaving the PGA Tour : Rahm is currently declining to pay fines to the DP World — formerly European — Tour : LIV has continued to lure players with promises of massive pay checks : Rahm agreed to the largest such offer to jump ship : One worry is that the Saudis walk away, refocus on growing LIV and luring more PGA players.
