There was a period a few years ago in my first business when I dressed girls on the show The Bachelor, I was featured in US Weekly, I got to ride on a private jet, I had my first $30k month, AND my company hit 25k in Instagram followers. How did this happen? I decided to gamify rejection. I call this collecting nos. My goal was to get 20 people to say no to me a month. Turning rejection into something I was aiming for was a huge game changer. It became fun to ask for big things and get out of my comfort zone. I was far less worried about rejection because I made it a game. This helped a ton when I later fundraised for the same company. I was told no by over 100 investors. I turned it into a game and still to this day, I have the list of those that said no. Counting the nos shifted things for me and I am so grateful I tried this. Next week I am running a challenge for female founders. My $5k in 5 days challenge kicks off monday and it's free. Collecting nos will be a big part of it. I can't wait to see how this shift changes these founders businesses just like it changed mine. Try collecting nos in your professional and personal life, whether you run a business or not. Reflecting on 2024: A Year of Resilience and Growth This year has been a whirlwind of challenges, learning, and accomplishments as we launched Gamar Enterprise LLC. New celebration for us here in the ReOrbit team, as we have reached 8000 followers on LinkedIn (almost doubled in the past year). This is a fantastic achievement for the entire team, as we are a startup standing on the shoulders of giants (and among them as well). It is easy to get your voice lost and hindered among the strong and loud ones you are surrounded with. But our innovative vision and unique product spin help the case, and that has been proven by the growing brand awareness — yet, a lot to do! We operate in a complex landscape with long sales cycles, so naturally it is not enough just to let the world know of the great products one builds. Instead, we showcase benefits unlocked by features and value the products bring to our customers. We offer insights about the industry and socio-economic realities it is interlinked with; analytical pieces about trends and markets; all in all, food for thought. All of this not because we need to, but because we are passionate about what we do, and I think it translates in how we communicate and consequently grow the audience. If you ask me, it is a win-win.
