1979 was a year of significant events that shaped the world we live in today. From social progress to scientific discoveries, this year marked a turning point in human history. The first gay and lesbian civil rights march in Washington and the appointment of Margaret Thatcher as the UK's first female Prime Minister shattered glass ceilings and paved the way for greater equality. Meanwhile, the discovery of an extraterrestrial volcano and the recording of a comet colliding with the sun expanded our astronomical understanding. However, amidst all these impactful events, a language school emerged that has transformed the lives of tens of thousands of ESL students. Meridian School of English, founded in 1979, grew from humble beginnings to a multi-site institution, and recently, it has shifted from a brick-and-mortar school to a digital platform, bringing English language learning directly to students' homes. Meridian's story is still helping students around the world achieve their goals and reach their full potential. #MeridianSchoolOfEnglish #EnglishLanguageLearning #EducationTransformsLives #ProperEnglish

What is a Public Charter School? At Le Monde International School, we’re proud to be a public charter school—but what does that mean? A public charter school operates independently from traditional public schools, allowing flexibility in creating innovative, student-centered programs. Like traditional public schools, we’re tuition-free and open to all students. Here’s why public charter schools, like Le Monde, make a difference in our community: Personalized Learning: We offer immersive bilingual education, focusing on both academic excellence and cultural awareness. Flexibility in Curriculum: We design programs that meet the unique needs of our students, giving them the tools to succeed in a global world. Community Impact: As a public charter school, we partner with families, local businesses, and organizations to enrich our students' education and foster a stronger, more connected community. By supporting Le Monde, you’re helping shape future leaders who are globally minded and equipped to thrive in a diverse world. #PublicCharterSchools #BilingualEducation #LeMondeInternationalSchool #CommunityMatters #StrongerTogether
