Is the MSO - Friendly PC Model in danger? Maybe to some degree. Some states have put forth proposed legislation to restrict the model in the last couple years. See Oregon House Bill 4130, California SB 642. The MSO - Friendly PC model is used to navigate a state's corporate practice of medicine rules that only allow licensed healthcare providers to own businesses that provide medical services. The concern over private equity in healthcare is growing and is continuing to create regulatory tension. Although unlikely to go away in total, the MSO- Friendly PC model may see some changes in the next 10 years. #healthlaw #healthcare #healthcareinnovation _________________________________ This post is not legal advice.
