LF Decentralized Trust will host the growing Hyperledger ecosystem and support a wide range of new decentralized technologies and communities. Decentralized technologies are rapidly reshaping industries and driving new business models. With asset tokenization alone predicted to reach a USD 16 trillion market cap by 2030, our new umbrella is set to be at the forefront of this transformation. The integration of GHO with the Arbitrum network, the largest layer 2 solution with a total value locked (TVL) of over $17.7 billion, will make the stablecoin more readily available to a broader user base. This expanded accessibility, coupled with the inherent speed and cost-effectiveness of Arbitrum’s infrastructure, is expected to increase liquidity and adoption of GHO. The cross-chain deployment of GHO opens the door to a variety of new use cases beyond its initial implementation on the Ethereum mainnet. Sharing thoughts about designing Truly Decentralized Exchange. Let's consider that truly decentralized exchange theoretically possible. Meaning that it will be one singe protocol, implementation and corresponding system. It will have a set of requirements for accounting system to be compatible with. Satisfying that requirements the assets of the accounting system can be accessible for users of the DEX. Making a fork or any other copy of that DEX will have no any reason, because the goal of original one is to be as universal as possible and any other attempts to create and launch such a DEX will will stack in understanding that it already exist. So it is only have the sense to propose improvements for existing one without creating competitors. The situation pretty similar to Bitcoin here is no sense for smart guys to create competitors, but you could be one of the community member to improve existing system. Truly DEX could be based on atomic swaps and use ensured proposals to guaranty execution of each operation. It can utilize any messenger protocol to share, store and search orders, but existing Bitcoin P2P network is strong and adjustable enough to be the best choice. Ensured proposals means that within certain period of time the party cannot cancel an order and will pay penalty in case of inactivity during exchange after matching. Theoretically the proposal could be made in both ways: on-chain and off-chain. Corresponding transaction is preparing assets and locking them for exchange. The process is also assuming some extra data along with transaction which is used to allocate a counterparty and proceed the interactions of exchange protocol. Using P2P messaging means extending existing networking protocol of Bitcoin to share the decentralized order book data via additional messages types. It will keep high level of compatibility and avoid a developing of new network libraries from scratch. The such types of messages will be available for full and light nodes which are interested in the order book. The node of participant could store a part of order book continuously updating it and sharing with others. It will look like additional and optional process of the node which unlocks the functionality of decentralized exchange. Such technics like taproot and atomic contracts will help to keep balance between privacy and efficiency of decentralized exchange. Even the technics of creation, broadcasting, storing and searching of the orders could be decentralized providing good enough level of privacy. Metadata of the orders can be used to sort them by trading pairs, prices, amounts and expiration dates. So the user interfaces could be pretty similar to common exchange ones. Principles of Truly Decentralized Exchange could be applied almost to any digital asset in any accounting system. Uniswap Labs, the software development company behind the decentralized exchange (DEX) Uniswap, was served with a Wells Notice by the US Securities and Exchange Commission (SEC) on Wednesday, which could result in an Enforcement Action. Amid these regulatory challenges, Uniswap Labs has partnered with Across, a cross-chain protocol, to propose a new standard for cross-chain intents.  Uniswap Labs And Across Collaboration The joint proposal announced Thursday introduces a new standard for cross-chain intents that enables end-to-end interoperability between intent-based systems through a universal filler network.  Cross-chain intents involve transferring or interacting with assets and protocols across multiple blockchain platforms. To initiate the process of creating an Ethereum Request for Comment (ERC) around this standard, Uniswap Labs and Across plan to present the standard to the CAKE Working Group for further discussion and review. Furthermore, UniswapX, the upcoming project by Uniswap Labs focusing on cross-chain functionality, will be the first adopter of the new ERC. By integrating support for cross-chain functionality, UniswapX aims to improve the user experience and expand the scope of its services.  Intent-Based Systems The Uniswap Labs team stated that cross-chain protocols have traditionally adopted various approaches to connect activities between blockchain networks. While messaging-based designs have been popular, they “suffer from slow transfer finalization and high costs.”  Intents-based approaches offer a “more efficient” solution for the software development company. Uniswap Labs further asserts that by allowing users to specify the desired end-state of the chain, intents-based systems enable a network of fillers to compete and fulfill the user’s outcome quickly and cost-effectively.  However, until now, each intent-based system has operated through its network, resulting in delays and alleged “centralization risks,” according to the company.  The announcement also notes that the proposed standard establishes rules at Ethereum’s application layer, allowing independent intent-based systems to “interoperate easily.”  Lower Costs And Faster Order Delivery?  The ‘CrossChainOrder’ and ‘CrossChainSettler’ components are central to the proposed standard. The ‘CrossChainOrder’ struct defines key parameters of the user’s order, including the deadline for order fulfillment or delivery, the settlement contract that holds user funds, and implementation-specific data.  The ‘CrossChainSettler’ interface specifies the functions settlement contracts must implement to resolve and initiate implementation-specific orders on-chain. By adhering to this ERC standard, users can reportedly sign cross-chain orders that conform to a unified specification.
