I am thrilled to announce that Lambeth Council has approved our plans for Hardess Yard, a transformative co-living and light-industrial development in Brixton, designed for Mitheridge Capital Management and LGL. This BREEAM Outstanding project will create 320 state-of-the-art co-living studios with shared kitchens, meeting and work rooms, café, library, gym, lounges, a screening room and much more. Alongside this, 1400 square metres of light industrial space will cater to the creative industries and provide high-quality studio and commercial space on the eastern fringe of the Brixton Creative Enterprise Zone. King’s Road Park Scheme Receives Green Light St William, a Berkeley Group company, has secured detailed planning permission for phase four of the King’s Road Park masterplan. The approved Foster + Partners design features two slender residential towers (28 and 38 storeys) and a seven-storey podium building, delivering 357 homes alongside 1.9 acres of parkland and public space. The development also includes high-quality communal spaces, seamlessly integrated with the surrounding landscape. Great to see a good audience for our placemaking workshop that took place in Swansea this week.   It was so refreshing to see architects, town planners, engineers and representatives from housing associations and local authorities deep in dialogue about carbon and placemaking, with some interesting recommendations for how the discussions can be continued within the construction supply chain.   Our ambitions are to explore this topic in more depth in the future, so watch this space for more details.   Plus if you have an interest in low carbon or the placemaking agenda, please get in touch with Woodknowledge Wales. [NEWS] Brixton coliving scheme secures planning Mitheridge Capital Management and LGL have received planning consent for a coliving and light-industrial development in Brixton, south London. 🏙️✨ The Hardess Yard project, designed by PLP Architecture, will feature 320 coliving studios, 1,400 square metres of industrial space for creative SMEs, and new public areas including a pocket park. The development is aiming for WELL Platinum and BREEAM Outstanding ratings. Daniel Rastegar of Mitheridge said: “This scheme will provide quality homes with flexible terms for Brixton and Lambeth.” Harry Green from LGL highlighted the potential of under-utilised sites across London, and Andrei Martin from PLP added that the project will create a vibrant space combining living, work, and community.
