We’ve got a story for you. It’s about a very snazzy home essentials store (let’s say, Crate and Barrel). And a Sr. Analyst for Product Discovery (cool job points for Heather Cordonnier). 😎 There’s a bunch of villainous online listings. A few false friends make an appearance. Until…. Well you’ve just got to read the rest: 📖👉 https://lnkd.in/d7qERzUr #RetailCaseStudy #RetailMarketing #LocalMarketing #GoogleBusinessProfile

Looking to hire someone who doesn’t understand what I need, only cares about their part and will work for less than a living wage? Lots of brands out there with this job description. Many of them are good people, they mean well, they want success for their brand. There’s also lots of great people working overseas, we work with some of them. Also lots of bad ones, all over the planet. More bad ones than good ones wherever you look. Overseas there’s no legal recourse for you if things go south, which happens sometimes. You can find tons of cheap media buyers anywhere, but all they’re concerned with is buying media. The thing about ads is that with AI and increasing sophistication it’s no longer just about technical stuff. It’s creative, brand-building, understanding buyer affinity and looking for opportunities to shine. Merchandising and velocity of creative, pulling levers within your budget. Not to mention making sure that the rest of your funnel is optimized. Sending traffic to a website is a waste of money if it doesn’t convert. As the world changes your advertising needs to change with it. It’s art AND science. And let’s not forget relationships. This is what we do at F+L. Let’s talk about what you can be doing differently in a no-sales conversation. The holidays are here, LET’S GOOOOO.

After working as a solopreneur for 3 years, I finally hired my first employee. She starts today. The plan is for her to take over a bit of the social media posting and customer service off me, and I couldn't be happier. I held off on hiring for a long time. I bet most of you did too. My biggest fear was that I hire someone in October, and have to let them go in January because I couldn't afford them... How did I get confident enough to finally pull the trigger? By having clearly defined marketing and sales KPIs. By putting together a custom KPI dashboard that measured the data that ACTUALLY mattered to grow my business, I was able to project revenue safely and realize I had the margin to afford them. Sometimes, business is simple... What you put in increases what you put out... But the only way to understand what you NEED to "put in" to grow your business is marketing and sales KPIs. We are behavior analysts after all... So start taking some data!

In business, clients are like shoppers comparing prices before making a purchase. And sometimes, no matter how much effort you put in, they choose someone else. It stings. The interesting thing: When clients are shopping around, it’s not about who’s the cheapest. It’s about who stays in their mind as the best fit. I’ve seen it myself… …working hard to onboard a new client, only to realize they were working with another company the entire time. The good news? 63% of customers who compare end up choosing the company that shows consistency and value. So, don’t take it personally when they choose someone else. Stay engaged. Stay consistent. The next opportunity could be yours. It’s not about the rejection—it’s about being ready when they come back. #clientrelationships #stayconsistent #businessgrowth

Yo! Before you have paying customers, stop procrastinating by focusing any time, energy & money on: ❌ Expensive brand strategies. ❌ Paid advertising. ❌ Skipping over launching first with an MVP & instead opting to build an all bells & whistles product. ❌ Gold star internal processes. ❌ Hiring sales people. ❌ Culture. If you're finding yourself prioritising any of the above over speaking with your customers, I'm sorry, but you're doing it wrong 🙅♀️. It's okay, just stop & refocus. 🚣♀️ You can't begin to move forward or understand what strategies work or are needed for the above without the data & insight from your first paying customers. Agree? Disagree? Any others you feel should be included in the list?

𝐓𝐡𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲 𝐀𝐟𝐭𝐞𝐫 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐦𝐞 𝐃𝐚𝐲 - 𝐂𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭! What a weekend it was! Prime Day lived up to the hype...traffic jump, sales spike, what not. Now that the party's over, comes the clean-up part. Here's a 𝐜𝐡𝐞𝐜𝐤𝐥𝐢𝐬𝐭 𝐨𝐟 𝐰𝐡𝐚𝐭 𝐲𝐨𝐮 𝐧𝐞𝐞𝐝 𝐭𝐨 𝐝𝐨 𝐭𝐨𝐝𝐚𝐲 & right now! 👉 𝐈𝐧𝐯𝐞𝐧𝐭𝐨𝐫𝐲: Surely some of your ASINs must be nearly stock-out (if not already stocked out). Urgently restock. 👉 𝐏𝐫𝐢𝐜𝐢𝐧𝐠/𝐃𝐞𝐚𝐥𝐬: Check if you've reverted to BAU pricing on all the Prime Day focus ASINs. Don't want to bleed for no reason. 👉 𝐀𝐝 𝐬𝐩𝐞𝐧𝐝𝐬: This is painstaking. Go campaign after campaign to revert the changes made during Prime Day. Check for Daily Budget & Bid levels across campaigns. 👉 𝐀𝐧𝐚𝐥𝐲𝐬𝐢𝐬: It's not shutter down till you figure out what's worked and what's not. Check unit conversion, deals performance, campaign performance. #PrimeDay #PostPrimeDay #PD #Checklist #PrimeDayChecklist

I write this as a reminder to the recruiter(s) who might be reviewing my page after receiving my resume. Don’t choose a person simply because of the previous title they had, or the industry specific experience being the exact same. Choose the person that is well rounded in the relative skills and eager to prove they’ve got what it takes to be successful in the role. My past professional experience versus the roles I’m qualified for, let’s talk about it. I have: -Six (6) years Sr. Sales Strategy Analyst -Four (4) years Product Specialist II -Three (3) years Implementation Specialist From these roles, I’ve gained experience that I know makes me a qualified candidate for any number of roles, which I may have not carried the title for directly. I’ve proven to be exceptional at managing both clients and internal stakeholders, as well the associated projects. Those roles, among others include: Sales Analyst Sales Operations Analyst Account Manager Customer Success Manager Revenue Operations Analyst Business Analyst Business Intelligence Analyst Pricing Analyst Solutions Specialist Product Specialist Sales Engineer Value Engineer
