I'm chairing and our speaker's presentation refuses point blank to talk to the hotel's screen. Shouldn't be a problem. But is. The room's full, everyone's ready, and we finally crack it with a whole minute to spare - phew! Our speaker, the very eloquent @Julian Tahla-Dean, delivers an ace presentation and emailed me this afterwards: "Way back when, during my Officer Selection Course for Sandhurst, we were split into small groups, given a bunch of stuff and a task such as construct a way to get a badly injured colleague across a Piranha infested brook - Our challenge in setting up my presentation I can imagine being the type of challenge new Officer hopefuls face. "Thank you so much for your help and, after the presentation, for supportive interaction with the audience. If only a small proportion of the Managers you work with sit up, listen, absorb and act accordingly, the Corporate World will be a much better place than the ego driven, profit focused place it is now where people have been reduced to FTEs." Yes, I did! This course has been so beneficial to me on so many different personal and professional levels.
