🐘Conservation meets cutting-edge science
LGC Biosearch Technologies is helping protect endangered African forest elephants by using genotyping—a technique that analyses DNA from their dung. By examining the genetic makeup of these elusive animals, researchers can track population health, understand genetic diversity, and create better conservation strategies to protect them from extinction. This advanced approach offers a non-invasive way to monitor wildlife and play a critical role in preserving biodiversity.
