In the category of "you can't make this up"..... Yesterday: CEO Mark Zuckerberg said the Biden administration had pressured the company to "censor" COVID-19 content during the pandemic, apparently referring to White House requests to take down misinformation about the coronavirus and vaccines. In a letter dated Aug. 26, Zuckerberg told the U.S. House of Representatives Judiciary Committee that he regretted not speaking up about this pressure earlier Today: Facebook/Meta starts removing posts of his letter calling out Meta's unconstitutional censorship. Do they not realize we are a bunch of Constitutional attorneys who fight against censorship every day?

The power of big government, as a liberty-constraining, prosperity-constraining artifice, is everywhere in evidence. The artificial but shiny patina of righteousness is brushed on by media-academic-corporate elites who all too often significantly benefit from such public policies, whereas the costs are bourne by those least able to shoulder them.

All too believable, unfortunately. Reminds me of when YouTube took down NCLA's Lunch and Law video explaining Judge Doughty's original July 4 decision about social media censorship in the Missouri v. Biden case. That one eventually went back up. Maybe yours will too, but if Meta really believed in free speech they wouldn't take stuff down while it's under review.
