Inventor of the Strike'n'Stoke Fire Starting Tool / Open Innovation Product Developer at Brislawn Investments / Entrepreneur / Associate of Inventor Relations at inventRight / inventRight Alumnus / Sales Rep for OGT
Awesome. Always cool to learn about the details of another product developer's process. I think when someone shares their story on how they got there, failures, setbacks and all included it makes it seem a lot more attainable. Not just an overwhelming end result in front of you, but a series of ups and downs and all arounds. It's a fun road, ride it! Realizing there are just as many routes to get there as there are products on the shelves. And probably the most reassuring, at least to me, was knowing that you don't have to be a professional product developer with decades of experience under your belt to get started. You need a willingness to learn as you go. And to be able to humble yourself and take the advice and knowledge from mentors with decades of experience under their belt! This is so cool. I love this dude. My homie Keanu out there just SHINING bright asf! 🌞💪🏼 You keep me motivated bro! For real. You doing you is inspirational to say the least. You're a beast. I absolutely love being around inventRight people. Always working on something, making progress on something, working some deal. Finding some new angle. Just doing awesome things and making it look easy. You can't help but get out there and pound the pavement on your own products. You are the sum of the people you keep at your table. If you break bread with bums and people with no vision that's fine but you can't be mad when ships are sailing without you. No more excuses. Maximum effort. Anything less is just downright unacceptable. You owe it to yourself, go get your piece! 😎💪🏼🤘
When did you first start your licensing journey? For Coach Keanu Alfaro, it all began with a simple knife sketch on a napkin. Fast forward to 2019, that sketch led to his first licensing deal with a well-known knife company. Despite early skepticism and advice to give up, Keanu’s perseverance paid off and in 2023 he was nominated for Best Folding Knife of the Year. Want to witness how Keanu’s journey has evolved and learn about his latest creations? Watch the replay of QSP Knife’s live stream, where Keanu and his licensee discuss his new designs, Turtle Punk, Kali, and Ripley. https://lnkd.in/g9s-wWSp Discover the influences behind these knives, and get a glimpse of the behind-the-scenes conversations between a licensor and their licensee! #ProductLicensing #OpenInnovation #Connections #Design #Entrepreneurship

How User Feedback Can Shape Great Games and Software! 🎮 👾 As a passionate gamer, I've always been captivated by the worlds developers create. An article about Dying Light 2's community-driven development sparked a new fascination: how player feedback fuels game growth and ultimately, happy players. This got me thinking: as a software tester, could these learnings translate to ensure customer satisfaction in the broader software world? The answer is naturally a resounding yes! Let's dive into how user feedback and user stories help shape amazing games and software, and why listening to users is a recipe for happy customers. The Power of User Feedback: Imagine creating a game or software nobody enjoys. Yikes! User feedback acts as a compass, guiding development in the right direction. By incorporating player ideas, like Dying Light 2's Community Ideas program, developers can: ✔ Players often encounter bugs, confusing interfaces, or features that feel clunky. Their feedback helps pinpoint these issues for improvement. ✔ Players are a creative bunch! Their suggestions can inspire new features, mechanics, or even entire game modes, keeping the experience fresh and exciting. ✔ Not all feedback is equal. By gauging player sentiment, developers can focus on the most impactful changes, maximizing their development efforts. Beyond gaming, user feedback is equally crucial for software development. Imagine a complex accounting program that only a handful of experts can navigate. User feedback ensures the software is intuitive, meets the needs of the target audience, and ultimately helps them achieve their goals. User stories are a powerful tool for translating user feedback into actionable steps. These concise narratives capture the user's perspective, outlining what they want to achieve with the software or game. For instance, a user story might state: "As a customer, I want to easily track my fitness progress on the app so I can stay motivated." User feedback is a treasure trove of insights that can elevate the overall quality of your product. It helps identify areas for improvement and ensures the final product is truly user-centric. In today's competitive landscape, customer satisfaction reigns supreme. When users feel heard and their feedback is valued, they're more likely to stay engaged with the product. They become invested in its success and may even act as brand advocates. By following the lead of games like Dying Light 2 and embracing user feedback, we, as software testers, can champion the user voice throughout the development process. This, in turn, leads to a higher quality product and a happier customer base – a win-win for everyone! #ux #userexperience #userfeedback #customerfeedback #customersatisfaction #clientretention #gamedevelopment #gamingcommunity
