The hardest thing in the world is being a 50 yr old woman, that was a stay at home mom, taking care of a paranoid schizophrenic husband and raising 3 children and helping step in and raise another for 16 years without a job that pays. Only to jump into work from temporary services. Work is hard to come by when you are in constant pain with knee pain that visibly showed. I had both Knees replaced in 2021. By January 2022 a job landed at my feet and It was from Tennessee Department of Human Services, through as a contract position. I was there a year and a half and was about to apply for a full-time position with the state. I was asked to apply for by the FS1, but then I was let go, with no reason, no warning or asking my side. 2 weeks after being asked by 3 supervisors. I learned later what happened, someone lied about me because they wanted the same job I was applying for, then quit before taking it. I am one that believes things happen for reasons unknown to us. The state has a new program and it is failing the customers. The customer are overloading the new system buy putting in daily applications. I am glad to not be in that mess. Yet I have not found work since. I even went to a 4 week Medical Assistant Training Institute and graduated with a 97. Hundreds of applications later since September 1st, many denials, turn downs, reasons of job hopping, not enough experience, not enough work history is depressing. I hear from so many, there are jobs out there, people just don't want to work. I disagree, I want to work, but no one is actually hiring people who are willing to learn on the job, they want experience. I get it. Why train. Maybe if you invest in the right person, instead of letting AI weed out applications and resumes, you may find loyal employees. Rant over signed a Discouraged adult.

I will admit that transitioning to another industry can be exciting and challenging but not impossible. Just as transitioning from living with your parents and siblings to living on your own. There’s a goal we need to focus on in order to grow. You learn to pivot into your new role and responsibilities Some of the jobs I’ve had are Office clerk CNA Pharmacy Technician Job Coach Recruiter Case worker Financial Professional All had one thing in common: SERVICE I am not saying that going into financial services is easy however I have found it’s not as complicated as some want you to believe. At the end of the day it is what you put into it, your heart, your compassion to help another person. I have seen teachers , nurses, plumbers transition with ease into this industry with not much extra education than studying for a state license. Summer is fast approaching and now is a great time to find out if this is a field you can see your grow. What do you have to lose working a few hours a week and potentially make up $$$ that you lost due to layoffs or summer break (average PT $500-1000 a week) #hiring #transitioning #financialeducation #All50states

Dearest Esteemed LinkedIn Ton, I must confess, I feel quite like Lady Whistledown these days, navigating the bustling world of recruitment. Much like the grand ballrooms of Bridgerton, the hiring landscape is full of excitement, intrigue, and the occasional drama! Here’s what we’ve learned from our favorite Regency matchmakers: 👑Profile Perfection: Just as a debutante’s dance card must be flawless, so too must your CV and LinkedIn profile. Ensure they shine brighter than the chandeliers at a royal ball. 📖Networking Novels: Imagine every coffee chat, LinkedIn message or telephone call as a chapter in your own Bridgerton novella. Who knows which connection might become the Duke (or Duchess) of your career? (Lets all hope its Colin Bridgerton) 💃🏻Interview Intrigue: Approach interviews like a waltz – with grace, poise, and a touch of flair. And remember, eye contact and a firm handshake can be just as impactful as a well-executed bow. Let’s all raise our teacups to a hiring season filled with successful matches and fewer awkward dance (or interview) mishaps. Yours truly in career matchmaking, https://lnkd.in/e9KNwCZq #Hiring #LinkedIn #Recruitment #Bridgerton #LadyWhistledown
