It all started back in 1986 at Bumpers Farm, Chippenham, with a small office supplies firm. Since then, it's been a journey of growth and passion, moving from basic stationery to comprehensive commercial Design and Build. *Three Key Lessons I've Learned:* 👉 Adaptability: Transitioning from stationery to design required constant learning and adaptation. 👉 Community: Building relationships and sharing successes has been crucial for growth. 👉 Passion: Staying passionate about creating spaces where creativity flourishes and productivity thrives keeps me motivated every day. So, that's my story. But enough about me - what's been your biggest lesson in your career journey so far?

Today was take your kids to work day, and our office was filled with little ones all day. It was heartwarming to see them having so much fun and enjoying themselves. It made me think back to when I was a mom with a young kids, and "take your kids to work" meant school or daycare was closed, and there was no one else to look after them. So, we would head off to work together. Over the years, "take your daughter to work day" has evolved to "take your kids to work day." It has become a thing to make a great work experience for kids, inspiring them to be curious about careers and have fun. At some places I’ve worked, it even became a bit of a friendly competition to see which group could make the kids have more fun. But today, with the benefit of more time and two kids in the workforce, I think about it differently. A great career and work experience isn't just about having fun. It's about solving problems, building expertise, and being a lifelong learner. Finding your passion and letting it fuel your journey is what makes all the difference. You'll find fun along the way, but it's not the only thing that matters. I hope the kids had a great time today, and maybe they even discovered something new that piqued their interest. Let's continue to inspire the next generation to be curious about their future careers!

Leading a Team of All-Star Marketers | Fractional CMO | CEO of River Avenue Digital | Bringing Clarity to Small Business Marketing
Now, I'm not the tallest guy... I couldn't help but share this fun moment from my day en route to a client lunch in South Tampa. I ran into this massive chair and thought, "Why not?" 🤷♂️ With my short legs dangling, and my not-so-short torso trying to fill the space, Joseph Ashby couldn't stop laughing at the sight. This quirky encounter got me thinking about some client interactions. Sometimes, we might feel like a small fish in a big pond, or perhaps a big personality trying to fit into a smaller, more reserved space. But isn’t that the beauty of it all? Embracing the mismatches, turning the 'not-quite-rights' into perfect opportunities. It's about making the space we're in work for us and our clients. So here’s a little mid-week reminder: Own your space. Whether your legs dangle or you’re filling out every inch, bring your whole self to every client interaction. After all, it’s the unique combinations that create the most memorable moments and the strongest partnerships. #ClientRelations #EmbraceTheJourney #RADLife
