For Lifeforce co-founder Joel Jackson, being able to show up for his family is the foundation of his wellness goals. The entrepreneur and tech executive was inspired to co-found Lifeforce after embarking on his own health journey to prevent a diabetes diagnosis that runs in his family. Now, he’s committed to optimizing his healthspan so he can enjoy life with his daughter for years to come. Specifically, he hopes to be able to backpack with her when she’s in her 30s and he’s in his 70s. “What’s happening behind the scenes is a continually advancing set of AI tools combined with talented clinicians. What that means is not only do members get 30-45 minutes with their provider, but each of those minutes is more impactful.” We sat down with Joel to learn why tech is the future of preventive healthcare, what his biomarkers tell him as a performance-driven dad, and how Lifeforce is putting those life-changing tools in your hands right now.

If you have kids, how many memories do you want with them before you die? 🧠 Imagine their milestones: graduations, weddings, grandkids. And what about the small moments? We think we're going to be there for them. How confident should you be? I'm 41. My daughter is 2. When she is 41, I'll be 80. 𝗜𝗳 I'm still alive. The reality is the chance I'll make it there is less than a coin flip. Here are some numbers to consider: • Chance I won't see her graduate from high school: 1 / 10 • Chance I won't see her get married (assume that happens when she's 33): 1 / 3 • Chance I won't ever meet my first grandchild (assume that happens when she's 38): 42% Sit for a second and ask yourself: do these numbers feel okay? I'll wait. Imagine your kid. Turning 18. Graduating from High School. Walking across the stage. Entering a new stage of life. You're not there to provide them guidance, love and support. That doesn't feel okay to me. When we think about longevity, we think about magic. New therapies that will help us live to 120 and beyond. For most of us, longevity is not about living to 120. It's about escaping the risk curve of being a human being. The longevity magic may or may not come. I don't want to count on it in my plan to survive and see my daughter graduate high school. I don't want to count on it to meet my first grandchild. Here's the thing. We don't have to count on magic. The science is already there. (Fair enough, not to guarantee 80, but to seriously shift your risk curve.) The medical system is not well-structured to support you. This is why we started Lifeforce. What steps are you taking today to shift your risk curve and ensure you’re there for those moments? #longevity #family #telemedicine

The use of advanced technology is critical to evolve healthcare and the patient experience. However, technology shouldn't represent or be the experience. Rusty and our technology team share the passion for patients over technology. It's evident in the tools we are developing and how we talk about and deploy technology across Clearway Health. #specialtypharmacy #HCIT #healthcareIT #pharmacy

Patient-centricity might be a familiar term to you, as it's a trending theme in health care today. At Unum, we're deeply passionate about understanding what this concept truly means to individuals and organizations. For us, patient-centricity is about starting with patients. It means involving patients in the earliest conversations because their experiences should be the cornerstone of every solution. At the core, patient experiences should not only shape but also drive further patient experiences. What does it mean to you? What would you add? We'd love to hear your perspective. #patientcentricity #patientcentric #patientcentricdesign #patientsfirst #patientempowerment
