Life is a series of ungrieved losses. Think about it, there are so many losses involved in life. The worst is probably losing a loved one through death which hurts us the most and is harder to deal with. However there are many other losses that happen to us from time to time and affect our wellbeing. For example: losing friendship, losing a job, changing a country, failing a definitive driving test, your spouse filling for a divorce after 10 years in marriage, your parent gets diagnosed with a chronic illness, etc.. It is very important to pay attention to the feelings of any loss. Whether small or big, loss doesn't leave us the same. It affects our thoughts, feelings and behaviors. It leaves us with wounds, which need care and time to heal. Every loss must be grieved. If you want to know more about how to go through grief in a healthy way. Please check out the information below from mHub - The Mental Health Hub.

Even when not directly involved in a specific incident, tragedy or disaster, the fast pace and methods that we all consume news in modern world, can lead to degrees of vicarious trauma. In recent times, including today, there have been a number of tragic, violent and traumatic events broadcasted across our media channels. Because of this ease of accessibility of incidents broadcasted, extreme care needs to be taken when viewing or reading about these events. If you are struggling with current world events, limiting the news you consume can help negate the feelings you might be experiencing. Investing in an intervention is a meaningful way to provide your loved one with the support they need, just as Erin Mooney, our interventionist and recovery coach, emphasizes: “When you invest in intervention, you create a support network for the individual through a loving approach. They don’t need to hit ‘rock bottom’ to get help.” An intervention isn’t just about urging someone to seek treatment—it’s about establishing a continuous support system that involves family and friends united in their commitment to help. The foundation of this approach is love and compassion, ensuring that your loved one feels supported rather than judged. #JARecovery #Intervention #RecoverySupport

New Blog Alert! Did you know that IDLM shares our weekly blog post in our weekly newsletter? Head over to our website and sign up! This week's blog: Compassion is something you can feel for anyone. It doesn’t matter if you have suffered the same type of tragedy as they have, or if you come from a similar background, or even if you speak the same language. It doesn’t matter if you’ve known them for years, or if you’re seeing them for the first time. Compassion doesn’t ask questions, it sees someone hurting and it gets to work helping them heal. https://lnkd.in/gHkgx-dx #IDLMblog #endoflife #doula #endoflifedoula #deathdoula
