As we prepare for a new school year, we are excited about the opportunities and growth that lie ahead for our scholars. However, we need your help to ensure that they have the tools they need to succeed. Please consider helping us fill their backpacks with school supplies! A small gesture of school supplies will make a huge difference for our scholars. Here’s how you can help: 1. Donate Supplies: We have made it easy by creating a registry of items needed on Amazon, Walmart and Target - see the back-to-school drive page on our website: https://lnkd.in/eZbwmiaJ (link also below). Or reference the list and purchase items from wherever you shop. You can arrange a drop off date and time and we will meet you in the parking lot…no need to carry items inside! And don’t forget Ohio’s Tax-Free Holiday runs through Thursday, August 8th at 11:59 p.m. 2. Make a Monetary Donation: You can also contribute funds which will be used to purchase supplies and ensure that our scholars are ready for school. It's that time of year again! Our fourth annual Johnny Rice Back to School Backpack Drive is officially underway, and we need your help to make it a success. Every year, children in the Cartwright School District community start the school year without the basic supplies they need to succeed. This can put them at a significant disadvantage, making it harder for them to learn and participate in class. Studies show that children that have their own proper school supplies show improvement on their grades, their creativity, and their confidence towards school. That's why we're hosting our back-to-school drive. Starting 8/01/24-09/01/24 we're collecting new school supplies, and backpacks for kids in need. Your donation can make a real difference in the life of a child. We can help ensure that a child has everything they need to start the school year off on the right foot. Let’s all come together and help support and build confidence in the youth of the community. Last year The Talus Family went above and beyond and raise $2200! We had the privilege of hand delivering over 120 backpacks to kids that were incredibly happy and grateful to receive the supplies. The impact we made and experience we had priceless! This is the 4th year running the drive! Our goal is to reach 150 backpacks!! I know that seems like a lot, but I believe in us! How can you help? We’ve made things soooo easy this year! #1. Join us from June 1st to July 12th in supporting local students as they gear up for the upcoming school year. Our collective efforts will help create a special Back to School bash on July 20th, where all collected supplies will be distributed at Tanger Outlets to the students in need. How You Can Help: 1. Drop Off School Supplies - Participating Stores: Look for stores with a Supply Drive decal on their doors. These locations have drop-off boxes where you can leave your donated school supplies. - Southaven Chamber of Commers - Desoto County School District Office 2. Monetary Donations: - The Hope Center: If you prefer to make a monetary donation, please contribute through The Hope Center HERE. For the month of July, our Who I Am Foundation volunteers in #Albuquerque are hosting our 11th Annual Back-to-School Supply Drive to help children in need begin the school year with all of the tools they need for academic success. With so many uncertainties about how children will return to school and what the classroom will look like, they need your help more than ever. Families with children in K-12 spent a projected $519 per child on back-to-school needs last year. For families in low-income neighborhoods, the costs are simply not realistic. Donating new school supplies to children in disadvantaged communities will make an impact on their ability to begin the school year school-ready.
