Did you know that patients can undergo multiple biologic injections in various body parts? Meet Tessi, a prime example of how biologic augmentation can aid post-surgical recovery and even sometimes prevent the need for surgery altogether. Tessi recently underwent revision rotator cuff repair on her right shoulder, and we feel biologic injections have been instrumental in her post surgical journey. Additionally, she avoided surgery for an Achilles tendon tear thanks to non-operative biologic treatment. While we hope she won't require further biologics, we're grateful to have spared her from one surgery and aim to strengthen her rotator cuff tear repair to hopefully prevent that from re-tearing. 🔬 Innovative Approaches in Avascular Necrosis Treatment! 🦴 I’m pleased to share our latest publication in the Journal of International Pharmaceutical Research titled "Evaluation of Core Decompression Results of Two Methods: DHS Reamer and Multi-Hole Drills Compared with Each Other and with Other Patients with Avascular Necrosis of the Femoral Head." This study evaluates the efficacy of DHS reamer versus multi-hole drills in core decompression for treating avascular necrosis of the femoral head. Our findings contribute to optimizing treatment strategies and improving outcomes for patients with this challenging condition. Innovative Minimally Invasive Technique Shows Promise for Coronoid Process Fracture Treatment Researchers have developed a minimally invasive approach for treating coronoid process fractures, achieving stable fixation and improved patient outcomes. The technique involves anatomical reduction and the use of a mini-plate. The study analyzed 31 patients and found that the approach resulted in high functional recovery and a relatively low complication rate. The findings suggest that this technique could enhance market access for advanced orthopedic treatments and address the need for improved fracture management.
