Let's dive into the data: According to recent research, Westchester County relies heavily on Westchester Medical Center as the region's sole Level 1 Trauma Center. While this center undoubtedly provides critical care services, questions arise about its capacity to effectively serve the entire population of our county and neighboring regions. 🏥 Consider this: With a population of nearly 1 million residents in Westchester County alone, along with the influx of visitors and commuters, the demand for trauma care services is substantial. Factor in the geographic spread of our communities, and accessibility becomes a pressing concern. 🌟 It's not just about numbers; it's about access to timely and high-quality care when every second counts.
