NRECA in recent comments to the FCC said that the Commission’s proposal to reinstate Title II telecommunications service regulations for internet providers could “lead to overly burdensome regulations, even to the point of disincentivizing investment” for some rural providers. The association called for a redefinition of “small entities” eligible for possible regulatory exemptions to cover ISPs, including rural electrics offering broadband, below a 100,000-customer threshold. NRECA also called for exemption of smart grid-related functions from Title II. https://lnkd.in/e4MA27ig
