Today, in the final video of our series, we’re talking about trims for starting, continuing, and ending runs of Tongue & Groove horizontal cladding. 𝗦𝘁𝗮𝗿𝘁𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗥𝘂𝗻 The first step in creating a polished façade is selecting the right trim to start a run: Starter J-Track: Provides a sleek finish while securing the bottom of the plank. Starter Strip: Creates a trimless appearance for a clean, modern aesthetic. Both options ensure durability and proper drainage when installed with quick screen clips every 32” on-center. 𝗖𝗼𝗻𝘁𝗶𝗻𝘂𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗥𝘂𝗻: 𝗥𝗲𝘃𝗲𝗮𝗹𝘀 & 𝗕𝘂𝘁𝘁 𝗝𝗼𝗶𝗻𝘁𝘀 For walls over 24 feet, you’ll need a reveal trim or a butt joint to allow for plank expansion and contraction: Reveal Trims accommodate movement and come in single-piece (sleek designs) or two-piece sets (easy installation). Butt Joints minimize waste and allow for runs up to 40 feet. With our T&G Butt-joint Fastening Kit, installation is simplified, and alignment is precise. 𝗘𝗻𝗱𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗮 𝗥𝘂𝗻 End-of-run trims, like our Termination Sets, create a seamless finish at windows, wall tops, or similar features. Options include: Precision Termination Set: Smallest trim for a minimalist look. Craftsman Termination Set: Medium-sized for balanced aesthetics. Traditional Termination Set: Largest for maximum flexibility. Linear LED high bay and low bay fixtures are available in a variety of light distributions including medium beam fixtures and wide light distribution designs. Narrow and medium distribution fixtures have a Type 1 or Type 5 light distribution. These distribution types are ideal for aisles or higher ceilings. Placing fixtures parallel to aisles is approximately 50 percent more efficient than a perpendicular alignment and helps decrease eye strain. This layout is also easier to control with motion sensors. Wide distribution fixtures give off a broader light distribution and are better suited for open layouts to provide a uniform light for commercial buildings and areas. Fixture with a medium light distribution are somewhere in between.
