Some recent candidate feedback; "I am excited to join Verint and the EMEA Services team soon and would like to thank you so much for helping to make it happen! Your support through the process has been vital. All the effort you put in and your approach overall is something I find quite unique, as you have always been there and very responsive via different channels. I would like to thank you for all of your dedication and always pleasant communication, especially for taking the time to follow up after every step in the process via phone and keep me posted on the developments at all times. I really appreciate it and enjoy our interactions. Also the time when you were off on holidays was very well organized and Mhairi was a wonderful HR support during your holidays, thank you again!" Yip, its always great to get glowing feedback but it often highlights that recruitment is still broken. Speaking to people and guiding them through our processes, is our job. Its the bare minimum and yet, people to thank me for calling them and rejecting them. 'Its nice that you took the time to call, instead of an email'. I think to myself, well I got you involved its the least I could do 😜 A 3/4min call to reject someone isn't much but can mean a lot to them and will leave a lasting impression (especially in this climate). One day, that person could be a VP, CTO, Director or maybe someone they know is a client /customer of ours/yours. Six degrees of separation - safer making the call, than an email. #candidatejourney #candidatefeedback

Yesterday at Workfully we extended 2 job offers for our team. One to a 22yo with zero experience and the other to a 50yo engineer who is also an ex-founder. They couldn't be more different (even for gender, ethnicity, personality etc.), yet they'll have to fit and thrive into the same small team. I am all in on diversity but we must admit that it comes with challenges, and we need to be proactive in addressing those challenges before they arise. Here how we are trying to create a place where very different people can feel like they belong: - Allowing people to experience the company differently. One can drop by the office once a week and the other can come every day as we need different things at different stages in life. - Consistently repeating and agreeing on what matters. Once we are together and in the day-to-day operation we consistently repeat our values and what matters. So even if they experience the company differently, we still agree on what matters. - Cultivate psychological safety. No question or idea is stupid and no judgment is made if the intention of the contribution is positive. If you have that, then anyone will feel the freedom to make mistakes, learn and thrive, no matter how different their background are. I don't think this is the formula for success, but this is were we're going to start. Should we consider anything else? P.S. we're hiring for 3 more engineers!

Fall is here & so is our #EmployeeSpotlight 🔦 for September! This month, we’re featuring Nicki Washington, G2's Senior Technical Support Specialist based in Chicago. ⭐ 𝗪𝗵𝘆 & 𝘄𝗵𝗲𝗻 𝗱𝗶𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗷𝗼𝗶𝗻 𝗚𝟮? My first day at G2 was on January 4th, 2021 on the Customer Support team. I applied to G2 because I instantly resonated with the P.E.A.K values and company culture. During the interview process, I knew G2 was the place for me when a senior leadership team member had a wall of Mr. Potato Heads in the background. To me, this meant that I could be myself at G2 and still achieve my career goals. ⭐ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝘀𝗽𝗲𝗰𝘁 𝗼𝗳 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗿𝗼𝗹𝗲 𝗱𝗼 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗳𝗶𝗻𝗱 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗳𝘂𝗹𝗳𝗶𝗹𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴? As someone who supports our buyer intent and review-lever integrations, the most rewarding part of my role is helping our customers resolve complex technical inquiries quickly and efficiently while ensuring a positive experience. ⭐ 𝗛𝗼𝘄 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗱𝗲𝘀𝗰𝗿𝗶𝗯𝗲 𝗚𝟮’𝘀 𝗰𝘂𝗹𝘁𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝗶𝗻 𝟯 𝘄𝗼𝗿𝗱𝘀? Innovative, Inclusive, and Collaborative ⭐ 𝗪𝗵𝗮𝘁 𝗮𝗰𝗰𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗹𝗶𝘀𝗵𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗿𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝗺𝗼𝘀𝘁 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝘂𝗱 𝗼𝗳 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝘁𝗶𝗺𝗲 𝗮𝘁 𝗚𝟮? I am proud of leading successful cross-departmental initiatives that enhanced communication between Integration Support and other teams. This collaboration helped us bridge communication gaps and work together more effectively to better serve our customers. ⭐ 𝗕𝗮𝘀𝗲𝗱 𝗼𝗻 𝗹𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗼𝗻𝘀 𝗹𝗲𝗮𝗿𝗻𝗲𝗱 𝗳𝗿𝗼𝗺 𝘆𝗼𝘂𝗿 𝗽𝗿𝗼𝗳𝗲𝘀𝘀𝗶𝗼𝗻𝗮𝗹 𝗷𝗼𝘂𝗿𝗻𝗲𝘆 𝘁𝗵𝘂𝘀 𝗳𝗮𝗿, 𝘄𝗵𝗮𝘁’𝘀 𝟭 𝗽𝗶𝗲𝗰𝗲 𝗼𝗳 𝗰𝗮𝗿𝗲𝗲𝗿 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗮𝗻𝗰𝗲𝗺𝗲𝗻𝘁 𝗮𝗱𝘃𝗶𝗰𝗲 𝘆𝗼𝘂 𝘄𝗼𝘂𝗹𝗱 𝗼𝗳𝗳𝗲𝗿 𝗼𝘁𝗵𝗲𝗿𝘀? Don’t be afraid to ask questions; it’s essential for learning and growth. By being curious, I gained valuable knowledge about our integrations and am still learning!

It can be frustrating applying for a job and not knowing what happens next. Or even worse, being left with a lot of questions about how the process works. To help alleviate some of the job-hunting stress, check out Schneider's hiring process.
