Integrating Recovery into Real Life
Most residential programs, takes you out of your addiction, puts you In the middle of recovery and helps you get sober. Missing link, especially for their younger clients, was the rest of their life and specifically going back to college, having a career, having a future. The research supports going back to school and having that structure as a young person in early recovery, but also integrating your recovery experience into real life, like not having to be sent off somewhere.
Nico Doorn, Executive Director at Alpha Behavioral Health, talks about how recovery can be built into our every day lives in an effective way.
