Rule 40 governs what athletes' personal sponsors can and can't post during the Games Period. The Games Period for the Paris 2024 Olympics starts today and runs up to 13 August. Today is also the deadline for athletes' personal sponsors (who are not official Olympic partners) to notify the BOA of marketing plans in relation to athletes selected for Team GB after 4 July. With the Paris Games coming to a close, the Olympics are returning to Hollywood after a 44-year hiatus. LA 2028 will be a display of American culture, technology, and their undying love for sports. The 1984 Olympic games in LA were when the Games went fully commercial - they were the first profitable Olympics ever. 🙌🏼 For 2028, LA already has existing infra that they will capitalize on including UCLA’s coveted university campus which will temporarily serve as the Olympic Games village, minimizing the cost of organizing the games. 🙌🏼 By 2028, the Games might reflect an even stronger commitment to sustainability and inclusivity, building on the progressive steps taken by Paris this year. The historic inclusion of cricket, after nearly a century, signals a bold move by the Olympic Committee to broaden the Games' global appeal.
