Last week's security funding - slower week with it being US election week: Embed Security raised a $6m seed for their AI Security Operations Platform via Paladin Capital Group. Congrats to co-founders Seth Summersett and Jeffrey Johns on this exciting step forward. Symbiotic Security raised a $3m pre-seed from multiple investors for their real-time security for software dev that combines detection and remediation with just-in-time training. Congrats to co-founders Jérôme Robert and Edouard Viot. Corgea (YC S23) raised a $2.6m Seed via Shoroog Partners to continue developing and growing their ASPM platform. Well done to Founder Ahmad Sadeddin and the team. Induz raised a $750k Pre-Seed led by YourNest Venture Capital as they soon plan to launch a Confidential IAM product and an integrated data delivery solution. Congratulations to co-founders Tirumalesh Chalamarla & Sreerama Gadam. CloudGuard raised an undisclosed venture round via Praetura Ventures Northern Powerhouse Investment Fund as they look to grow their automated cybersecurity platform for SME's, based out of the UK. According to a recent report from the Financial Times, Insight Partners is close to securing over $10 billion in capital commitments for its 13th fund. Notably, two of Insight’s portfolio companies were acquired last week: Recorded Future, a threat intelligence firm, was sold to Mastercard for $2.65 billion. Insight had acquired it in 2019 for $780 million. And OWN, a cloud-based backup tools startup, was sold to Salesforce for $1.9 billion, although its 2021 valuation stood at $3.5 billion. While Insight's new fund may close at around $12 billion, this figure is less than the $20 billion raised for its 12th fundin 2022, a year marked by significant venture capital fundraising.
