The FDA has approved Neuralace Medical’s Axon Therapy, a noninvasive treatment for chronic pain caused by diabetes-related nerve damage (diabetic neuropathy). The technology uses a handheld coil to send magnetic impulses through the skin, stimulating peripheral nerve cells and relieving pain. PRP-- NUMBERS MATTER Patient seen today for a PRP booster treatment for bilateral knee OA. Her last treatment was June 2022, and she just recently began to experience a slight return of pain! For today's treatment: 159 cc whole blood was drawn, along with 21 cc ACDA. A total of 8 cc PRP was prepared (4 cc per joint). Per the attached cell counter printout, you can see that the baseline platelet count is 222, and the final PRP platelet count is 3113. That's 14x baseline! As Don Buford, MD and others continue to expound, the ability to concentrate PRP properly matters! Numbers matter. If you are not counting your PRP, you are performing substandard work, IMO, because you cannot document EXACTLY what you are injecting.
