Three recent examples: 𝗥𝗲𝗰𝘆𝗰𝗹𝗶𝗻𝗴 𝗖𝗼𝗺𝗽𝗮𝗻𝘆 𝗮𝗻𝗱 𝗪𝗼𝗼𝗱 𝗗𝘂𝘀𝘁 𝗘𝘅𝗽𝗼𝘀𝘂𝗿𝗲 𝘍𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴: Workers exposed to harmful wood dust due to inadequate ventilation and lack of protective equipment. 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘦𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘴: Significant fines, health issues for workers, and reputational damage. 𝘗𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘔𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘴: Regular risk assessments, proper ventilation systems, and provision of personal protective equipment (PPE). 𝗣𝗶𝗿𝗲𝗹𝗹𝗶 𝗙𝗮𝗰𝘁𝗼𝗿𝘆 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗿 𝗜𝗻𝗷𝘂𝗿𝘆 𝘍𝘢𝘪𝘭𝘪𝘯𝘨𝘴: Inadequate safety protocols leading to a worker being injured by machinery. 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘦𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘴: Substantial fines and operational disruptions. 𝘗𝘳𝘦𝘷𝘦𝘯𝘵𝘪𝘷𝘦 𝘔𝘦𝘢𝘴𝘶𝘳𝘦𝘴: Implement comprehensive safety protocols, regularly maintain machinery, and train employees on safe operating procedures. 𝗪𝗼𝗿𝗸𝗲𝗿 𝗛𝗶𝘁 𝗯𝘆 𝗮 𝗪𝗮𝗴𝗼𝗻 Failings: Poor site organisation and lack of segregation between pedestrians and vehicles. 𝘊𝘰𝘯𝘴𝘦𝘲𝘶𝘦𝘯𝘤𝘦𝘴: A worker sustained serious injuries, leading to hefty fines and legal costs.
