Addressing abortion from a women's rights perspective is crucial. In some parts of Mexico and the Americas, women face criminalization for their reproductive choices, violating their healthcare access. This unjust punishment stems from a desire not to maternalize, infringing upon autonomy and dignity. It's crucial to recognize the traumas of sexual abuse and the lack of protection for women afterwards. Let's advocate for comprehensive reproductive rights, including safe and stigma-free abortion services, ensuring every woman's autonomy and well-being. This book compiles stories from women criminalised after PAC services leaving the reader astonished by the unjust and difficult world to be a woman. #ReproductiveRights #WomensRights #ReproductiveJustice #PAC #feminism #WomensHealth #EndStigma

In reflecting on the complex issue of #abortion, it's essential to acknowledge the historical context, such as the landmark Roe v. Wade decision in 1973 that legalized abortion in the U.S. However, it's important to note that this decision has undergone changes, allowing states to impose certain restrictions. In my opinion, the decision on abortion should ultimately rest with women, considering the diverse and personal reasons that may lead to such choices. While recognizing the significance of human life, I believe that there should be valid reason for abortion, and for that the best judge of the reason is the pregnant woman herself; no one else can judge her circumstances better than her. Each individual's circumstance is unique, and it's crucial to navigate the balance between reproductive rights and ethical considerations. #abortionrights #reproductivejustice #womenrights #choiceforwomen #adamazamforny

I recently joined CGTN America to discuss the potential impact of a Trump presidency on abortion access in the United States. During our conversation, I highlighted how a return of Trump to the White House could lead to increased state-level restrictions and federal policy changes that would make abortion care even harder to access, especially for marginalized communities. In particular, I discussed how financial barriers disproportionately affect women of color and those from lower socioeconomic backgrounds, who often face significant challenges when seeking abortion services. 🗣️ Watch the clip below to hear more about how the next presidential term could shape the landscape of reproductive rights in America. #HealthcareLaw #ReproductiveRights #ThoughtLeadership #MediaAppearance #AbortionAccess #VoterRights #Vote2024 #VotingMatters #YourVoteCounts #Election2024 #VoterAccess #CivicEngagement #MakeYourVoiceHeard #VoteForChange #ProtectYourRights #VoterEducation

With the 2022 Dobbs ruling, the US Supreme Court overturned Roe v Wade, ending almost 50 years of women's constitutional right to have an abortion. Since policies around abortion and the definition of personhood have shifted to the states, women across America are facing a growing disparity in reproductive rights based on where they live. In half of the country, the Dobbs ruling has led to more restrictions around abortion rights and women's reproductive health. The aftermath is still unfolding, but here's a look at where we are today: #womenshealth #reproductiverights #dobbsruling #digitalhealth #ivf #abortionrights

“𝑷𝒓𝒐-𝒍𝒊𝒇𝒆” 𝒂𝒏𝒅 “𝒑𝒓𝒐-𝒄𝒉𝒐𝒊𝒄𝒆” 𝒂𝒓𝒆 2 𝒆𝒙𝒂𝒎𝒑𝒍𝒆𝒔 𝒐𝒇 𝒕𝒉𝒆 𝒑𝒐𝒘𝒆𝒓 𝒐𝒇 𝒘𝒐𝒓𝒅𝒔. These aren't just terms; they're battlegrounds of language when it comes to abortion rights. The pro-life movement strategically chose a powerful name that implies being in favor of life, subtly suggesting the opposition might be anti-life. On the flip side, the pro-choice movement advocates for reproductive rights and settled on a name that doesn’t quite pack a punch like its counterpart. Nonetheless, it champions a crucial stance and insinuates that the opposite would be anti-choice, which sounds passive and undesirable. In these two examples, words are used to not only label a movement, but define those who stand on the opposite side. Now, that's a potent example of the power of words! #WordsAndBlurbs #HealthcareMessaging #Communication #Words&Blurbs

IANGEL is proud to endorse the critical resolution introduced by Rep. Nikema Williams, affirming that access to abortion is a fundamental human right. The resolution highlights several key points: 🔸 Human Rights Violations: Recent state restrictions on abortion violate international human rights treaties ratified by the U.S. 🔸 International Obligations: The UN Human Rights Committee has called on the U.S. to ensure access to comprehensive reproductive health services, including safe and legal abortions. 🔸 Legal and Safe Access: The resolution calls for repealing laws that criminalize abortion, ensuring individuals can access healthcare without legal repercussions. 🔸 Reproductive Rights: It reaffirms that reproductive rights are integral to human rights and urges states to protect these rights by repealing restrictive laws. 🔸 State Responsibilities: States must align their laws with international human rights obligations and ensure the availability of safe and legal reproductive health services. Join us in supporting this resolution and advocating for reproductive rights. Let’s work together to ensure everyone has access to the healthcare they deserve.
