In Europe, the past six months have witnessed notable advancements and increased investments in European #spatial technologies... This has been driven by key commercial activities Bio-Techne acquiring small Swiss spatial bio firm Lunaphore in order to offer spatial services to their clients, OMAPiX announcing strategic partnerships with Vizgen, Resolve Biosciences, and Ultivue to offer end-to-end, large-scale, spatial profiling capabilities to customers. Furthermore, 2023 saw several European pharmaceutical companies including AstraZeneca implement the technology, seeing promising results. This has created a surge of interest in spatial biology in Europe, which will be at its peak in 2024. However, despite this optimism and investment, #spatialbiology has faced some challenges in establishing itself in #Europe, primarily due to #regulatory obstacles and ongoing #legaldisputes. Ongoing lawsuits between spatial technology vendors concerning single-cell spatial transcript profiling technologies, have led to considerable confusion and uncertainty within the field.
