Law firms are urging law students to apply for summer jobs before they finish their first year. This makes it harder for diverse students, especially first-generation students of color, who have less time to adjust to law school and prepare for finals. This also forces firms to make hiring decisions based on limited information. Be aware of these timelines and prepare accordingly to secure a summer job.

A BITTER TRUTH........... The greatest graduates from the nation's leading universities continue to search for better opportunities due in part to the meager compensation one might expect with beginning their career while practicing either as a lawyer or an intern. The urge to do something better every single time runs through the blood of young law students like us. In the Beginning it is quite graspable "Why law interns do not get paid?" Nobody remunerates you for teaching you "how to do it" but that is fair only till the initial stage. Law Interns or any interns who start working as asset to their companies shall get paid for the same . A recent job offer in LinkedIn showed a job of Rs 20,000/- for working as a Security guard in a law firm, who works the whole night and just below that another post for a Law Associate for mere Rs 15,000 /- to work both day and night in the same law firm. That is the reason why it is called " A Bitter Truth" .

“WE ARE HIRING” PQE- _______Required. A very valid concern! It's indeed a classic catch-22: "Experience required, but who will give me the experience?" "Seeking Advice!” "Experience Required: But How Do I Get It?" It's been two years since I graduated with a law degree from a non-NLU background, but I'm still struggling to find a decent opportunity in the legal industry. Despite my efforts, I'm yet to land a role that matches my aspirations. Here's my question: 1. Can experience from boutique law firms, smaller firms, or solo practitioners be sufficient to meet the experience requirements of top-tier firms? 2. Or are there other paths I should explore? I believe that experience from boutique law firms, smaller firms, or solo practitioners can be incredibly valuable. I'm also focusing on building my skills through internships, pro bono work, and networking. If you're in a similar situation or have advice to share, let's connect and support each other. Let's work together to create opportunities and break down barriers in the legal industry. #lawgraduates #nonNLUBackground #legalindustry #careeradvice #networking #opportunities"

A #bad_lawyer❌ can cost you time, money, and even jeopardize your case by providing poor advice, inadequate representation, or failing to communicate effectively. I enjoy speaking from the stage, but I LOVE panel and fireside chat formats that invite real audience engagement. Last week, I had the privilege of participating in a panel at the UND School of Law. My biggest takeaway? The future is BRIGHT for the next generation of North Dakota lawyers. 🌟 After a decade of helping business owners solve problems, I can still feel the energy and excitement of boundless opportunities and academic curiosity every time I walk into a law school. It couldn't be more refreshing. #UNDLaw #FutureLawyers #LegalCommuity
