How Irish Banking system looks like? 🤔 TOP 5 Banks concentrated 76%! 😮 of assets. A Deeper Look into the Concentration of Assets in the Irish Banking System The financial landscape in Ireland is dominated by a few key players, but it's important to recognize the broader spectrum of institutions contributing to the market. As of the latest data, the asset distribution among the top five banks is as follows: 🔽 Bank of Ireland: 18% Barclays Bank Ireland: 17% Citibank Europe: 17% AIB plc: 16% Bank of America Europe: 8% Interestingly, the remaining 24% of assets are distributed across 41 other banks and branches operating in Ireland. These include well-known names such as Permanent tsb plc, EBS DAC, Revolut Bank UAB, Deutsche Bank AG, Goldman Sachs Europe SE, and many others. The diversity of these institutions underscores the resilience and complexity of the Irish banking system. While the top five banks hold a substantial portion of the market, the contributions from these additional 41 banks ensure a dynamic and competitive environment. I’ve attached a visual representation to help illustrate these figures and give a clearer picture of how assets are distributed across the Irish banking sector. Data used Central Bank of Ireland, annual reports 2023 of each bank. ✅ #Banking #Finance #Ireland #Economy #AssetManagement #IrishBanking
