Something to share: An inspiring 2022 TED Talk by Thomas Heatherwick, and it feels more relevant than ever. His message? Create beautiful buildings, preserve the ones we already have, and make them meaningful – don’t destroy them. This approach contributes (mostly 😉) to CO2 reduction while delivering something valuable and inspiring. If you’re ever in Cape Town, don’t miss the Zeitz MOCAA (grain silos). To me, it’s the most stunning example of repurposed architecture I’ve ever seen – a true masterpiece of vision and reuse. And of course, there’s a clear link to #Planon here 😉. Next to achtitecture I also love the company I work for and my job. Managing real estate sustainably and efficiently requires the right tools and the right #ecosystem. 🌍 #architecturelover #planonrealestate #manageyourbuildings #sustainability #partnernetwork #ecosystem

Thomas Heatherwick calls for two very simple basic architectural principles: Human architecture and re-use / renovation of buildings instead of their demolition. Both are often not respected because these projects require more brain than mainstream architecture.
