Linde Engineering has provided a 4-megawatt (MW) electrolysis plant using a PEM (proton exchange membrane) electrolyser from ITM Power, which has been integrated into RWE's 14 MW pilot electrolysis facility commissioned today in Lingen, Germany. Furthermore, Linde Engineering will design and build two 100 MW PEM electrolysis plants to support RWE’s future large-scale hydrogen production on an industrial scale as part of the GET H2 Nukleus project. A 100 MW electrolysis plant is scheduled to begin operation in 2025, with plans to expand its capacity to 300 MW by 2027. “These projects are crucial for Germany to assume a leading position in the global hydrogen economy,” said Tilman Weide, Senior Vice President of Global Execution at Linde Engineering. “It is a privilege that RWE has chosen us as a partner for this major project. Linde Engineering can draw on over 100 years of experience in the hydrogen business, and being part of the GET H2 Nukleus is yet another demonstration of our expertise in developing international hydrogen projects at scale to help accelerate the world’s energy transition.” Learn more here: https://lnkd.in/dyBvGFqE #LindeEngineering #Hydrogen #HydrogenProduction #HydrogenEconomy
