Catapulting beauty & fashion brands to their next level of business growth with powerful media coverage | President at VLIV Communications, Inc.
Beauty and fashion brands, what is one of the most important things to consider when hiring a PR agency? It's a big commitment to hire a #BeautyPR or #FashionPR agency - most contracts are at least six months to one year, and this #PRAgency will help dictate your brand's image in the press. It's not a decision to be taken lightly! When selecting a PR agency, what's the most important thing to ensure long-lasting success? You should feel comfortable with your main point(s) of contact. When you ask a question, or want to broach a new idea, you should feel like the PR agency has your back, and wants to do what's in the best interest of the brand. Without this trust, it's hard to develop a meaningful partnership that will move the needle for the brand's visibility and reputation (often the main goals for PR!). You should partner with an agency where you feel understood, and that your brand's success is one of the agency's main goals. I'd be remiss to say if this wasn't one of the biggest values at my PR agency VLIV Communications 😊 We strive to ensure our clients feel heard and acknowledged, while also providing our expertise to ensure we're making the biggest impact for them with our PR outreach. An easy going relationship where you don't have to worry about proofreading your messages because you know they'll take care of it for you, ensuring you look and sound like the star you are.
You are so right that the relationship with the main POC is critically important, Lindsey Smolan. No matter how great to firm, if it doesn't feel like the person that I deal with directly understands my needs, it is not going to work. Great call out!
You lock in on the most important component of any relationships, Lindsey -- TRUST! Yes to this: "Without this trust, it's hard to develop a meaningful partnership"
Lindsey Smolan for me it's transparency and flexibility. Meeting me where I am and trying to creatively brainstorm solutions vs focusing on challenges!
Trust is by far the biggest indicator of a good relationship...especially one where we are required to bring a brand and product story to life. Good insights, Lindsey Smolan!
I create organizing strategy, organizing education and programs to disrupt white supremacy culture for social justice organizations, unions and nonprofits.
7moI look for business relationships with people who understand what it takes to get the work done. They don't suggest wildly unrealistic ideas for someone else to implement. They also get creative about what's possible.
