Some of our proudest work over the years has been the transformation of former leisure properties (hotels, pubs etc.) into something new. Far too often, these sites are left to rot for years at a time - we want to do something about that. If you’re aware of any of these sites with development potential, get in touch! #LandDevelopment #JointVentures #CollaborationOpportunities #PropertyDevelopment #Planning #PlanningPermission #ResidentialDevelopment #CommercialDevelopment #MixedUseDevelopment

The commercial real estate sector can learn from the hotel industry's customer-centric services, dynamic pricing, and online convenience. 'Hotelisation', where leasing commercial spaces is as easy as booking a hotel room, is an emerging trend with transformative potential. It suggests a future where commercial real estate offers curated experiences, akin to the strategies of the hospitality industry. According to CoStar Downtown Myrtle Beach Hospitality, the Myrtle Beach market comprises 274 hotel properties, which contain around 32,000 total rooms. Hotels tend to be larger in the area than in the typical U.S. market, but not by a huge amount. The average building has around 118 rooms, compared to the U.S. average of 88 rooms per building. There are 134 rooms spread between two projects underway in the Myrtle Beach market, representing a 0.4% expansion of the existing inventory. This new supply follows a material amount of recent development: Around 1,100 rooms have delivered in the past three years. #Sperry-KEY Group #CoStar #myrtlebeach #commercialrealestate

The hotel pipeline has a lot of interest, but we normally focus on major markets. Colin P. Sherman and I decided to see which submarkets will have the highest inventory increases based on what is under construction. Areas outside of #SanDiego, #Phoenix, and hubs along the East Coast are in the top ten, but for different reasons. #hotels #hotelconstruction #hotelanalytics

Exciting news for Western Sydney’s future and NSW tourism! At Trilogy Hotels, we’re thrilled to see the Minns Government’s ambitious plans for NSW’s visitor economy, which align perfectly with our vision for Western Sydney’s development. The government has just announced a bold new goal of $91 billion in annual visitor economy expenditure by 2035 – a 40% increase from the previous target. This growth is expected to create up to 150,000 new jobs, with $44 billion (48%) of the total spend projected for regional NSW. Key points from the announcement that support our vision: • The need for 40,000 extra hotel rooms across NSW, a 41% increase on current availability • Focus on ‘experience tourism’ and celebrating First Nations culture • Increased aviation capacity, including the Western Sydney International Airport opening in 2026 As we’ve been saying, Western Sydney is poised to become a major tourism destination and economic powerhouse. The government’s strategy reinforces our call for: • Creating sustainable tourism attractions beyond the airport • Developing a skilled hospitality workforce • Encouraging government incentives for new tourism projects • Reimagining Sydney’s tourism offering with Western Sydney at its heart Trilogy’s vision aligns perfectly with the government’s strategy: “We need to extend the vision for Sydney beyond the harbour and reimagine Sydney’s tourism offering, including a built-for-purpose Western Sydney. This is the jewel in the crown.” Let’s work together to make Western Sydney a compelling destination for visitors and a thriving hub for locals. With the government’s support and our industry’s efforts, we can truly build a “growth engine” not just for NSW, but for all of Australia. "This is a once-in-a-lifetime opportunity," says Scott Boyes, CEO of Trilogy Hotels, on the NSW Government's Visitor Economy Strategy 2030 Review. With a goal to increase visitor spend from $51.4 billion to $91 billion by 2035 and a need for an additional 40,000 hotel rooms, the potential for growth in NSW is unprecedented. #accommodation #hotels #visitoreconomy
