During my lessons with internationals, we cover many different topics. Lately we covered the so called “sabbat år” or “gap year”. Have you heard about it and what do you think about the concept? A gap year is typically taken by a student as a break between high school and higher education. The person often use the gap year to work, travel or something else that gives personal growth, experience and reflection for future plans. In Denmark a “sabbat år” is very common and 8 out of 10 students take such a break after the high school. Is it a good idea to have such a gap year? #gapyear #personalgrowth #danisheducation

How to celebrate holi along with managing study?? It is a day to be celebrated by throwing colorful waters and gulal on each other. As we know all only few days are left for holi. It is a day to be enjoyed with loved ones. The view during the celebration makes us more excited. But Still many of the students avoid celebration and choose to be study with entire focus and capabilities. If there is festival during the exam preparation, be thankful and embrace it ✨. Study does not mean student are not allowed to celebrate. Let me tell you if you want to keep studying efficiently, It is important to take break after 2-3 hours for mental and physical well-being. Whenever there is a festival, use it as a break during learning.It has two advantages : 1. Able to celebrate festival and get break from daily busy schedule. 2. Will get time for loved ones during auspicious moments. When starting a new international school, there is one thing you need to do. Don't die! 😅 I started my international teaching career back in 2004 at BISS Pudong. 🌍🏫 We faced 100's of problems. Unfinished building work 🚧, staff leaving unannounced 👥, and 700 new students arriving in the first year. 🎒 The team pulled together and overcame these problems. Nord Anglia was Born! Starting a new international school is not about creating an exceptional institution from day one. It's about survival and laying a strong foundation. In the beginning, resources are limited. The focus should be on the essential elements: Securing a good location 📍, hiring passionate teachers 👩🏫, and establishing a curriculum that meets local and international standards. 📚 The goal is to create a stable environment for students and staff.
