Not all leather is created equal. 🌍✨ On the left: Faux leather—often marketed as ‘eco-friendly’ but prone to cracking, peeling, and wearing out quickly. Most faux options are made from plastic-based materials, leaving a lasting impact on the environment long after they’ve been discarded. On the right: Genuine leather—a timeless material that not only stands the test of time but also gets better with age. Durable, repairable, and biodegradable when responsibly sourced, genuine leather proves to be the ultimate sustainable choice for quality and longevity. Choose wisely. Opt for materials that last, not those that harm the planet. 💚 https://lnkd.in/ekQrpynm #GenuineLeather #SustainableLiving #EcoConscious #RealLeather #LeatherCare #DurabilityMatters #SayNoToFaux #SustainableFashion #ChooseQuality

#Recycling #Sustainability #EcoFriendly #FashionTrends #TextileRecycling #MonoMaterial #EnvironmentalImpact Last Christmas, you bought a dress online. It had a cotton and polyester blend for the main body, lace at the hem, a cotton pocket with a synthetic lining, buttons and a plastic belt at the waist, and a zipper at the back. Now, you're tired of it. You think you're being eco-friendly by sending the dress to a recycling center, so you feel like you're not creating waste. 👗 But do you know what the possible journey of this dress might be?🤔 First, it will be sorted by material and color. Because it has multiple materials, the buttons, zipper, and plastic belt need to be manually removed. The cotton and polyester blend of the main body will need mechanical or chemical separation. The lace on the hem must be separated individually. The cotton pocket and synthetic lining also need to be treated separately. All disassembled materials are sorted by type and then different methods are used to extract the recyclable components before reaching the spinning stage. ⚗🧪🧬 I haven't even mentioned the many steps in between, such as cleaning, impurity removal, and dyeing. Surprised? The more complex and diverse the materials, the more processes and resources are involved in recycling. Now you can understand why mono-materials are so significant for both the fashion industry and environmental sustainability. Come to us, and let us show you the trend of the fashion industry towards mono-material fabrics. 🌍♻️

The Unique Charm of Plant Dyeing! 🌿✨ Nature's Gift of Beauty Plant dyeing, a natural dyeing process using pigments extracted from plants, imparts textiles with a unique softness of color while reducing environmental impact. However, this beauty comes with challenges. The process is intricate, requiring multiple steps of extraction, blending, and dyeing, each demanding exceptional craftsmanship. Moreover, it consumes significant time and resources, making it far less efficient than chemical dyes and unsuitable for mass production. Despite these hurdles, the natural texture and eco-friendly qualities of plant dyeing continue to captivate. It’s not only a tribute to traditional craftsmanship but also a step toward sustainable fashion, embodying the possibility of harmony between humanity and nature. 🌱💚 #PlantDyeing #SustainableFashion #EcoFriendlyStyle #NatureInspired #TraditionalCraftsmanship #NaturalBeauty#fashion #apparel #textiles #manufacturing #retail #SheerPossibilities #RabanneInnovation #FashionDiscussion (Video from the Internet)

The Mariposa necklace is made from the reuse of leftovers from the production of shell bags (cork, malai, pinatex). This practice not only reduces environmental impact, but also encourages a circular economy where waste becomes valuable resources. At Marita Moreno it’s a recurring practice to use the leftovers of materials from production to create exclusive pieces with unique design, taking advantage of the mixture of different textures, colors and patterns. In addition to reducing waste and pollution caused by inappropriate fabric disposal, products made from textile scraps contribute to consumer awareness of the importance of sustainable fashion. By choosing these pieces, consumers support responsible practices, helping to transform the fashion industry into a more ethical and environmentally conscious sector.
