Japanese knotweed year 1 treatment results at a residential site in Tipperary have been promising! The aim to minimize the use of chemical herbicides using mechanical treatments has shown positive outcomes. The treatment record for Year 1 in 2023 includes 1 herbicide application in late summer and 1 mechanical treatment in winter, both timed effectively. The results so far have been encouraging, with the majority of Japanese knotweed not regrowing this year. This is especially significant considering the mild spring conditions that typically encourage knotweed regrowth.
