With a growing number of US companies now backtracking on their diversity, equity and inclusion policies, Capital Brief contacted a range of Australian tech companies, VC firms and banks to ask whether they stood by DEI. Yet only Linktree would go on record as saying diversity and inclusion remained “fundamental to our company culture and the way we build our product”. The silence should not necessarily be taken as a sign that these companies are rethinking DEI and may be an attempt to avoid getting drawn into a culture war.
