Telemetry of IoT devices in Azure IoT Hub can be easily achieved using the in-built Message Routing feature. Each received event triggers the insertion of data into the database. By establishing a custom endpoint directed to a CosmosDB container from Azure IoT Hub, the process is streamlined, eliminating the need for an additional resource to handle message management in a database. This is a quick demo on how to this system works in real-time. I've simulated an IoT device from a python script that sends temperature data every 2.5s to the hub. #Azure #AzureIoTHub #CosmosDB #IoT

🚨Considering Kubernetes or Docker Swarm for your IoT device? Think twice! 🚨 The use of containers is becoming mainstream in the development of embedded computing and IoT devices. This means that more and more embedded developers are faced with the task of orchestrating a set of containers for their hardware target. Once a design reaches production, they need to perform functions such as deployment, scaling, load balancing, logging, failover, and monitoring of containers. Ready-made systems for performing these functions exist in the enterprise computing world: Kubernetes, maintained by the Cloud Native Computing Foundation, and Docker Swarm. But how well do they work in the embedded world? For various reasons, not very well, and there is a better alternative.
