Thanksgiving is often a season for gratitude—but let’s not ignore the stress that can come with it. Balancing busy schedules, family obligations, and the pressure to show up in spaces that might not align with your peace can leave you feeling drained. Here’s a question: What if you didn’t feel obligated to attend gatherings that disrupt your well-being? What if Thanksgiving reflected your values, boundaries, and needs? Here are three ways to rethink Thanksgiving this year: 1️⃣ Protect Your Time: Just because you have the day off doesn’t mean you have to give it away. Be intentional about how you spend it. 2️⃣ Set Clear Boundaries: It’s okay to skip conversations—or entire gatherings—that disrupt your peace. No is a complete sentence. 3️⃣ Reimagine the Day: Host a Friendsgiving, volunteer, or simply enjoy some much-needed rest. Your time is yours to define. This season, let’s embrace the idea that choosing peace is a form of gratitude. You don’t have to endure stress or discomfort to honor tradition. 💡 How are you planning to protect your peace this Thanksgiving? Drop your thoughts in the comments—I’d love to hear! 👉🏾 For more tips, check out my latest blog: Thanksgiving Without the Stress: Choosing Peace - https://wix.to/OYxmbJZ

Here are ways to support and acknowledge those who are grieving during this time: 1. Thoughtful Gestures •Send a note or card •Drop off a meal or invite them to join you 2.. Encourage Self-Reflection Through Journaling Share prompts for those grieving: •What memory of your loved one brings a smile, even through the tears? •What are some ways you can honor their memory this Thanksgiving? •What emotions are you feeling today, and how can you give yourself grace? 3. Honor their loved one together •Prepare a favorite dish •Share Stories 4. Here are 10 effortless ways to show appreciation to loved ones during Thanksgiving next week. 1. Think of specific things you are thankful for in each person, this could even mean thanking them for being themselves! 2. Take a minute to write a thank you note to a loved one. 3. Find a quiet moment with someone and share something you love about them. 4. Be conscious of when others are sharing their stories, take note and be an active listener. 5. Share a hug with a loved one, especially if it's been a while. 6. Before family time, think of a few meaningful questions you can ask family members. Ask older and younger family members to share a story of their past or their life experiences growing up. 7. Go on a short walk with a few family members and get to know them better. 8. Give a compliment. 9. Be kind - especially to yourself. 10. If it's difficult to do some of these things, try focusing on the present instead of getting trapped in the past. Sharing Thanks with Loved Ones 🧡🌟 This Thanksgiving, let’s make a point to share our appreciation with the people who enrich our lives. The holiday season is a perfect reminder to slow down, reflect, and make sure our loved ones know how much we value them. Here are some ways to share thanks with those who matter most: Family Tradition of Gratitude 👨👩👧👦: Start a new tradition at the dinner table where everyone takes turns sharing one thing they appreciate about the person sitting next to them. It’s a great way to foster connection and build each other up. Send a Video Message 🎥✨: Can’t be with someone in person? Send them a video message expressing your gratitude. Seeing your face and hearing your voice makes the gesture extra special, especially for friends or family members far away. Cook or Bake Together 🥧: Sharing a meal is one of the most meaningful ways to connect. Whether it’s baking pies, cooking a family recipe, or simply helping with dinner prep, spending quality time in the kitchen creates memories to be thankful for. How are you planning to share thanks with your loved ones this week? Drop your ideas in the comments and let’s inspire one another! 🤗💕 #ThanksgivingThanks #ShareGratitude #FamilyTime #LovedOnes
