HR Innovator | Fractional HRBP | Coaching Your Way to a Transformed Workplace Culture

Lets be forreal! You know what I hate? When people downplay their achievements. Whether it's at work, during graduations, or when receiving awards, accomplishments are often minimized. People avoid celebrating their successes because they don't want to seem boastful or overly happy. Honestly, this needs to stop. The culture of not making a big deal out of achievements is overplayed. Celebrating is important! Even if it doesn't mean much to others, it means a lot to you—and that's all that matters! My colleagues have said, "Oh, you hang up your degrees? I don't need that kind of recognition." The truth is, everyone needs affirmation. Let's stop normalizing the avoidance of self-celebration, ignoring our needs, and putting ourselves on the backburner. We deserve recognition for our achievements. Maybe not from everyone in the world, but definitely from our friends, family, and close colleagues. Let yourself be seen and celebrated! #CelebrateSuccess #SelfRecognition #Achievements #CelebrateYourself #Affirmation #SelfWorth #LinkedInCommunity
